Never seen Canelo do much in a clinch so I could see Ward making it a crappy fight where Canelo wins controversially.Comment

- - Only thing needed is the same deal with l'l Floydy. Lose the ref riding their backs the whole of the fight anytime they get on top of the hometown candy divas, and l'l floyd and Wart candy gonna melt.
Oddly enough, Wart challenged l'l Floydy to a 162 lb fight to reap a big purse, but wouldn't fight GGG at 164. GGG also challenged l'l Floydy at 154 for his titles, or at 155 for GGG titles, so l'l floydy and Wart share ducking GGG. Who'd ever thunk it?Comment

This. Ward is not a “slick fighter” Kovalev was outboxing him. He started winning rounds when he got on the inside. We all know how good Canelo is on the inside.
ward fights nothing like mayweather. he doesn't even have the boxing abilities of plant and saunders. ward is good at headbutts, elbows, holding, and low-blows. he's good at cheating to victory in his hometown. i wish we had gotten golovkin vs ward back then because we most likely wouldn't be having discussions about what an amazing fighter ward is. golovkin would have wrecked him.Comment

Same issue with Ward. Body punches, uppercuts, and hooks around the guard won't affect or move Ward, just like Bivol. On top of that Ward is mauling dirty fighter like Hopkins on his best day. Canelo gets pieced up. Ward might even set him up like Kovalev and catch him with something big. Prime Ward at 168. Forget about it. Canelo is out here with rigged cards against the likes of Trout. Hydration clause on Kovalev and Fielding?
I am not sure prime vs prime it would be easy night for Canelo. Ward wasn't super duper boxer but his inside game was almost unrivaled. Current Canelo enjoys beating out-boxers and walks them down. But, Ward was ugly and dirty inside/pressure fighter. I'd say 60/40 Canelo.Comment

- - Wart ain't gonna get Weeks to allow him unlimited access to Canelo crotch.

Wart couldn't even put a dent in Allan Green who had most of his bowels removed the year before.
What grade they put U in this year?Comment

Lol at the Ward haters... Everyone entitled to only two things: an opinion and an a s shole... and if some people get them mixed up? Well eventually they will figure it out.
Two great fighters. Ward was perpetually underestimated, including at the super middle tourney. Prime for prime? I favor Ward. on a comeback? Ward is past his best not a fair comparison.
Ward outboxes Nelo, like lara and Trout did, then rips him inside.
