He stood in the pocket and his defensive skills were that good. Say nothing about Locche or Toney, it’s highly doubtful you’ve ever actually watched them fight either.

Whitaker's defense was based on two things. Slipping punches at his back foot and ducking punches below waistline level which is actually illegal. Referees don't give a f**k about that illegal movement but Whitaker did it in every fight. He had ATG defensive skills though. At least, he exposed cab driver killer Chavez.

Did you watch any of Chavez's fights in real time? Almost no one, was going to beat Camacho, Taylor or Rosario when Chavez beat them, Canelo included.
