Problem is, boxing has fan who are too loyal to their hero to be unbiased.

Boxing fans have no problem judging someone else's resume but when it comes to their guy.......
As a very young kid ( boxing was my first sport ) I never understood why sometimes the ref ( vintage fights were played much more often on tv back then ) would say “May the best man win”. I didn’t comprehend why that needed to be stated? Why wouldn’t the best man win? It made no sense to me at the time.
I was taught the sport of boxing was important before I knew names of boxers.
I’d hate to see even my favourite fighters win a fight I didn’t think they deserved. Getting punched in the head is such a brutal sport to get screwed over in.
Anyone who has ever been jammed up knows that a lot of eye witnesses are unreliable so I can understand the discrepancies in some ways.
The one thing I know for certain is that as boxing fans it’s still more enjoyable to argue over boxing than talk about most other things with someone else. I think we need to keep that in mind.
Someone tells you mma is more enjoyable than boxing any two boxing fans will become fast allies.

May the best (''rightful'') man win
      The ''best'' man usually wins.
Winning is based on a scoring system that doesn't exist (10 pt must....what is a point and did the dude who scored 9 earn those 9 pts).

The most a fight fan can hope for are impartial judges who truly do the best they can and aren't swayed by styles or crowd reactions.
Crowd noise can be a bltch to ignore. Hometown guy will usually get the crowd going very easily.

A guy who throws 100 punches a rd, but only lands 13, should not be rewarded as being the aggressor.
The guy who throws 20 and lands 10 is (or should be) the better man.

      Boxing fans are very passionate

I was very disappointed that Taylor won his last fight. A draw would have been lucky for him. I wasent surprised though. Watch enough boxing and you get a feel for it.
Its not like if there was ever a fight that the commentators and ringside press had Taylor winning over an underdog you would have that itch on the back of your neck. The itch that you feared they might give it to the underdog.
I always thought Taylor was overrated. A guy with minimal fights and somehow on the P4P list?!
Got lucky, see if he makes anything from it.

Theres a lot of romanticism and nostalgia over Chavez which plays a part. But Yeah, Canelo is the better fighter and has fought better opposition.

If he beats all those who are supposed to beat him then it's possible. He is allowed to lose still also but hopefully he could bounce back.

              That's not how it works.

While winning is the goal, you have to consider the threat level.
How many times did Sr put himself in harms way ?

If a guy is going to rack up easy win after easy win.....

There are f**kin levels in this game. There is no Mexican on my all time top 30 p4p list except Canelo. Chavez and Sanchez are barely top 40-50. Canelo will be top 10 if he becomes undisputed at 175. Then, he will have still lots of years and be in GOAT conversations. Stop this Mexican shıt. Best fighters are from US and there are some exceptions like Duran, Canelo etc..

Only Roger (rip) fought guys in their prime. Including. You guessed it. Julio Cesar Chavez.
