    Why didn't Manny wait?

I remember how a bunch of ppl were crying that Floyd should have waited just a day then he could have fought Manny in his first fight in almost two years. So now I pose an HONEST question.

Why couldn't Manny wait to see who the winner of this fight would be before going to fight Cotto?

I mean if he really believed that Floyd would win and he keep saying that he wants Floyd, why couldn't he wait till after this fight occurred to schedule his next opponent, Floyd Mayweather?

Now, I am not accusing Manny of ducking, so don't come in this thread with non sense. As I said in the first sentence, this is an HONEST question.

The Pacquiao/Cotto bout was already in full swing before Fraud Jr. decided to come out of retirement.

Yeah the fight was on if Cotto took out Clottey. Arum wanted to setup Top Rank / HBO PPV with Cotto vs Pacman.

dude, floyd had a rib injury and delayed this fight. how is that pac's fault?

cause floyd/jmm was supposed to have happened already.

the boxing world doesn't stop/wait for floyd... just like floyd don't stop/wait for the boxing world. floyd retires when he wants to and he fights lightweights when he wants to.

Stylistically, Pacquiao is a harder opponent for Mayweather as oppose to Marquez. Mayweather knows this himself, after a long layoff, the last person you'd want to face is a speed demon like Pacquaio. Everything has to be intacted and Marquez is the right opponent, it isn't gonna be easy though. So my opinion is, Mayweather wouldn't have faced Pacquiao even if the offer (At that time) was presented to him and rightfully so.
