Deep down, you know Tyson Fury is not Irish 'Entirely'.
But I suppose, in this sort of arena. You ether chose one side or the other, then have a debate.
Tyson Fury is English of Irish decent. He grew up in England, he has a English Accent. He also seems to associate himself with English Culture.
Fury of late, described himself as a B2 Lancaster Bomber. Which was a famous World War 2, British built plane.
Fighting for the Irish title, and all of these things were most likely tactical managerial decisions 'To increase his fan base'.
These are the things Athletes do, sometimes they will represent different countries because it will be easier to make the team.
One minute Fury is fighting for the Irish title, the next minute David Price is taking his place at the Olympics. Tyson Fury right now as we speak, I personally think he views himself as a Universal Champion 'Everyone's champion'.

Alright, I will be serious and honest.
I honestly don't have a clue how y'all judge ethnicity in Europe. Or who is a native in Europe. I thought Calzaghe was English because he was born in London until I started talking boxing online with British folk.
The concept of claiming an ethnicity based on family lineage is pretty popular stateside. Most of us identify in that Calzaghe sort of way where family trumps location.
Over there, I'm not sure where you begin with what is and isn't a native to begin with. I mean I've some rough understanding of the history, I know the picts and celts and anglos and vikings and norman and **** but I never, ever, hear Brits talking about well I'm actually 95% pict or some such similar claim to being more nativer than their countrymen. I imagine if you've a lot of Anglo and Celtic genes logically you're more native than someone with a lot of Norman...and if I ****ed up the chronology fix it so it make sense
Also, there's how y'all handle ethnicity in general. Youse correct me on Joe's Welshness, fair dues, but why do people get upset when I call Khan a ****? I get he's English too, but he's definitely Pakistani
Europeans are happy to accept Andy as Mexican, from California, but it seems like no one sees black guys as their ethnicity. I mean Wilder and Joshua both claim Nigerian. And that's it, Wilder and Joshua claim it for themselves but no one calls them or classifies them as Nigerians. I think Whyte claims Jamaican...but he's English. Good native black English.
So, honestly, I haven't a ****in clue because I don't even know the rules. I'm happy to call Fury an Englishman.
I mean it's in history too.
Jack Dempsey is often cited as an Irish.
Ali, not so much.
Jack Dempsey's family is about two generations deeper in US history than Ali's Irish roots.
Ali is more Irish than Jack Dempsey.
Jack Dempsey is often cited as Irish, but Ali, not so much....no effin clue why bud, none.
I claim Puerto Rican but that's really something people push on you in America. When you're little and you don't understand the question they just ask you where your parents and grandparents came from. My father's from Puerto Rico so I'm a white skinned, green eyed, Puerto Rican man with a mid Florida (swamp with the gators n ****) accent. My grandfather, other side, is from County Cork and so I am also Irish...with my Florida accent and Hispanic surname. I'd be more than happy to simply be American but America is way too racist for that.
No ****in clue what the rules are meant to be actually.Comment

Well, what stands out to me about Irish fighters is they don’t seem to appreciate using their brain to win. That won’t take u too far in boxing.Comment
