I would not claim fighters like Tyson Fury or Mathew Macklin as Irish.
Where did Fury grow up? Tyson Fury is English of Irish decent 'He has some Irish in him'.
From interviews I have seen with Fury, he speaks with a more British attitude. He has lately compared himself to a B2 Lancaster Bomber.
I think Fury winning the Irish Heavyweight title was a tactical move. A bit like the way it was for Lennox Lewis coming back to England, and ****ing on about supporting West Ham.
Tyson Fury is English of Irish decent.

Strange how many idiots can't get their heads around ancestry, heritage and lineage. Tyson Fury is of Irish descent, and Canelo's mother likely had an affair with an Irishman. If a bloodline can be traced back to Ireland, then that makes a person Irish, phaggots.Comment

I doubt people in Ireland support him, the same way they used to support Steve Collins or Barry Mcguigan.
