Still so disgustingly underrated.
A lot is no longer an opinion, a lot of it is just no longer debateable.
Those who were saying he was wrongly placed as p4p #1 you was wrong. When Manny got flattened by Marquez he was still really high p4p (high as 3 I believe), this guy was taken off the P4P lists, blacklisted! DISGUSTING!
He's done remarkably well since and probably not even on these lists still but they will put these guys on there who have no real wins and they call people like you, like me the fanboys. Idiots! If you have a P4P list and this guys not at the top or right near the top you should be banned from ever posting about the sport again.
He always belonged and still does. A loss to a world class fighter who hits like a truck doesn't change anything. You fight the best continually for as long as he has, someone will have your number. You will have an off-night or get caught eventually.
For me that should be his only loss, a guy who possibly has his number. If your favourite fighters fought the best time and time again like he has they would have a ton of losses and nobody would mention them as anything but gatekeepers or something. They're only held in such high regard because they have no balls and don't take on challenges. Just because they have managed to protect their 0.
He has fought everyone, every killer in umpteen divisions, some multiple times apart from one guy the media claims is p4p but managed to go through these divisions without fighting a single one.
This guy isn't just one of the best of his generation he is one of the best if not the best sub whatever weight, hell he is one of the very best to ever do it, period.
He isn't just an offensive machine or one of the best offensive fighters ever he is just flatout of the best fighters ever.
Chocolatito is up there, he is up there and its wrong you'll maybe look a loon for saying it but it shouldn't be the case. This guys proven through and through and has been for the longest time.
He has the resume, he has the skills, the consistency, the accomplishments.
He's up there and has a better resume, longevity, skillset & so forth than so many of these idolised ATGs also and he's still making these killers at the peak of their careers look ordinary.
You seen that last night he made that kid look like the 34yr old faded fighter and him the young, hungry prospect with all the noise behind him and unlimited energy.
Who even takes a short notice replacement like Martinez anyway? He's probably the only guy in the sport that accepts that.
