Arum has made an offer to Mosley to fight Mayweather at a weight of 137 pounds. But the 27-year-old Mosley has outgrown the 135-pound division and has been struggling to make the weight. He was dehydrated against John Brown in his last fight in April in which Mosley stopped Brown. Even though he got down to 135 pounds at the weigh-in for the fight, he ballooned to 151 pounds by the time he entered the ring.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is Nevada's most trusted source for local news, Las Vegas sports, business news, gaming news, entertainment news and more.

"I can't make these guys fight," said an exasperated Mayweather, who had hoped to face Wright in what would have been one of the year's most intriguing bouts instead of what will turn out to be nothing more than a glorified exhibition.

Former lightweight, welterweight and super welterweight champion Shane Mosley was offered a bout against Mayweather, but declined.

Mosley said he wanted a couple of tuneups, but said he'd fight Mayweather next year.

Kostya Tszyu isn't sure he'll fight again. His conqueror, Ricky Hatton, turned Mayweather down before money was even discussed.

Oscar De La Hoya has mentioned Mayweather, but said he won't consider him until late 2006.

That's around the time when Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said he'd be willing to put young and promising Miguel Cotto in against Mayweather.

There were others, including undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah, but they couldn't come close to contract terms.

And boxers know there are two ways to get out of a fight: simply by saying no, as Hatton did, or by asking for more money than promoters will be able to pay.

That's why I'm confident I won't have to step into the ring against Iron Mike, because $30 million is a bit much, though considering the talent level Mike has been
    NICELY DONE!!!!!!!!

      I can respect that.

With regards to the vests. Think about the vest doing for your hips, pelvis and legs what the hand weights do for your hands.

I understand that the vest may feel constricting at first, but like anything else, you get used to it pretty quickly.

After the first time I wore one, and bobbing, my glutes were so sore. Great workout. I would then wear one to do the hill at the park near me. A cheaper alternative is to pull out an old knapsack or jacket from your closet and load it up.

I'm always looking for new ways to trick my body and mix it up to keep things interesting.

Why is it that everyone has to take steroids to the Mayweathers? Maybe they should check them for roids.

          Who is "everyone"?

Mosley DID take steroids. And Senior said that he thinks Pac may take steroids. Who else did they talk about?

I'm starting to be convinced that he's going to fight Mosley instead of the Pacquiao-Cotto winner.

Just to remind some people with amnesia, Mosley beat margachetta with no cast on his gloves, and Cotto beat Mosley by unanimous decision teaching him how to control the speed of the fighter and not using any steroids or cast in his gloves. That’s the way people win, and sure you right about Gayweather, she is terrified to fight all three.

Arum is such a prick ... it may end up that way. Plus, even though Floyd and GBP have a love-Hate relationship ... they do like making money together.

I'm really gonna have to bounce from this board. People on here completely ignore facts in favor of their emotions.

I knew that offer back at 135 was the time he was stuggling to make weight. If you seen his fight with Brown, Mosley looked so damn dry in that fight. I remember TNT had Floyd vs Rios and the next month Mosley was against Morales.

I still believe this fight will happen next. I don't think Mosley will be fighting Clottey. Arum and Floyd will have a hard time making a fight with Pac to be honest. I believe Floyd should get the most. With common oppenents Floyd has sold more than Pac. I also believe this fight with JMM will sell more than Pac vs JMM
