I also think this is what happens when you take an opponent on short notice. Posters forget all the work that goes on during camp to prepare for the scheduled opponent.

Frankly, more talented fighters than Colbert have gotten upset against opponents on short notice just like he did.

Colbert stood in front of him since the beginning. Instead of moving around like he can to see what the other fighter has to offer he went straight at him. I bet you he got hit early in the fight and never recuperated fully. He showed heart but the last two rounds he wanted to survive.
