At the sametime I don't think he would have ever taken the fight. He has two good fighters he can unifiy and carve out his out legacy but won't pull the trigger. Why? Who knows?
I won't disrespect GGG's skills but all his fights against elite level have revealed that you have a chance vs GGG if you can stand your ground in the middle of ring. Easier said than done of course!

Look, GGG is a great fighter. No he was not the unbeatable dude some made him out to be. He is a first ballot hall of famer if you ask me. He was avoided like the plague early on. He went to Germany where as you know they were really pushing Felix Sturm. He avoided GGG like the plague too. Finally when GGG got to the States, he did well early on. The middle weight Division just wasnt good. Kind of like when Hopkins finally got on top. Roy and James Toney had moved up to 168 and Michael Nunn had gotten into trouble. However GGG got rid of everone put before him. Then he fought Brook. Brook did well ealry on but GGG just said frget boxing and went to him. He beat Danny Jacobs . Everyome who believes Jacobs won , are just casuals. Jacobs does enough to be competitive then complains forever. Same with Marquez. He beat Canelo the first fight, then lost a close decision the next one. Those results look better everyitme Canelo fights now. Devry won that fight in my opinion. GGG didnt look good that night. I think he should have moved up to 168 before that fight. Now a Prime GGG vs Hagler would be fun. He was a better version of Juan Roldan. Hagler would be just too accurate and could box better than most thought. Unanimous decsion win for Marvelous . GGG just gets alot of hate from the Mayweather type fans who dont like anyone who they thinks cant fight. The reverse racism punks who dont like Canelo either. However Mayweather would not have taken him on , i bet you that.

He's ok but will be remembered for ducking Andre Ward mainly.

I don't buy that excuse. GGG was CONTENT staying in a dead div.
Look at who he did fight. He could have moved up and fought anyone. I'm sure someone above MW would have fought him. Nelo being the money man isthe reason GGG is willing to move up. To increase his retirement fund. No Nelo, no movement.
