Chin is one of the worst but Brook still couldn't drop him after all those shots. People giving Brook too much credit too he was better obviously had better timing but he was slow himself Khan was just completely shot

      I agree.

Khan was shot beyond belief obviously his chin has always been dodgy but he was on bambi legs after the first stiff jab, Canelo wasn't hurting him with jabs

        Does he though?

He has a below average chin for a world class fighter.

There are guys who get KO'd clean by fighters with less than 50% KO ratios

Maidana was a B Level Crumb Catcher thats why. Floyd was 37, think about that for a minute ya r3tahd.

Maidana at that stage was still very crude and nowhere near the level he was when he fought Mayweather or Broner. For the whole fight agains Khan he barely threw a jab, his footwork was all over the place and he swung wild punches that make Wilder look like Ray Robinson. A rematch 18 months later and Maidana puts Khan to sleep inside 6 rounds, but rightly Khan was smart enough to avoid it.

He's shot now and has barely fought for the last 5 years or so. When he was 23 he was in his prime, fast, could escape Maidanas sloppy punches. He's never had the best chin but it has been a bit overstated how bad it is.

Khan is semi retired now. he doesn`t live and train like a professional boxer should. His last true fight was...like 4 years ago? And against Samuel Vargas, lol? Even Crawford fight 3 years ago was only a cash grab for him.

When he fought Maidana, he was a true boxer. Man, that is 12 years ago.

Thank you. FMW literally hustled fans and haters for 2 free PPV checks fighting Maidana. The crazy thing is the WBA and WBC 154 made Maidana the mando for their cut of the purses while Lara at the time was the consensus #1 contender for the WBA and WBC. In the words of Ronnie Shields, I asked Haymon about the fight for Lara and Al said, that ain't happening. Thank you Al Haymon.

at 140 Khan was a pretty good fighter, had an pretty good run

ppl forget Tim Bradley straight up ducked him, he got robbed against Lamont Peterson

I honestly think if the Peterson robbery didnt happen, he might've not gotten KO'd or even fought Garcia

Though eventually he would've gotten KO"d once he moved to WW
the worst version of maidana was alexander, fought sick that night. he even took a **** right before the fight and needed help from contursi (his manager) because he was already wearing his gloves

For all Khan’s flaws, he sometimes can ride a shot well enough to take just enough sting out of them. The big problem is when he doesn’t see one coming.

Maidana generally threw looping shots that you can see coming, so Khan was able to just take that last bit of sting out of them by circling and moving. So he was just able to ride it out when he was hurt. If Maidana was able to set his work up better, he would have finished Khan. Maidana got a little bit cleverer a few years later and knew how to disguise shots better.
