alex arisa was in khan's corner and chino's corner was crap, also in the tenth khan was saved by cortez. with arisa in chino's team we saw the best version of maidana, that chino would've stopped amir with no problems.
Because Ariza had Khan in tremendous shape and for once khan the dumb mother****a paid attention and followed the game plan.
What ****** shyt did he do in that fight? You tell me
Lastly, Khans punch resistance is next to nothing now.
I know people who know him personally. He trains 8-12 weeks before a fight hes managed to talk himself into. The rest if the year he spends in Shisha lounges and in Dubai.
Virgil Hunter even said it, hes dissappointed in Khan only coming to him 8 weeks before a fight
And that is why you see those terrible performances. He is cashing out. He is no longer competitive.
If you think he trains all year round and is in the gym 24/7, you are wrong.

Maidana only threw looping overhands or punches up close vs a Khan in the best shape and form of his career, even then he almost got the stoppage in the 10th.
Robert Garcia made him a smarter fighter,,the wild power shots were there but he set his punches up with jabs at times, watch the kd of Broner, looks like he is jabbing to the body then throws up top, broner fell for the trap.
Khan got a hard fought victory and cong**** to him, i don't think he would have beaten that Garcia trained chino but who knows.
Even though i didn't enjoy the result i always enjoy watching their fight from 2010, a bit of a classic.
If Khan didn't drop him with that body punch, he would have probably been stopped in the mid rounds.
It was a nasty punch. Lessor fighters would have been stopped. I'm sure Marcos had to spend rounds recovering. He clipped Khan late in the fight, but by then Khan just needed to survive.
