Hard to call it a cherry pick when Marquez already whooped his ass three times and got two robbery losses and a robbery draw for his troubles.
Is 32yr old Manny Pacquiao cherrypicking a 40yr old Marquez then getting brutally knocked out the worst cherrypick gone wrong in boxing history?

Pacquiao' s birthday is listed as Dec. 17, 1978. So that would make him a few days short of turning 34 when the Dec 8, 2012, fight took place.
JMM was born August 23, 1973, so that would make him 39 years, 4 months for the fight.Comment

Floyd schooled JMM like he was an amateur that didn't belong in the ring with him, Marquez never ever spoke about a rematch with Floyd and his trainer said Floyd is from another planet and you cannot beat him with a stick lol.
Floyd easiest fights in his career were Manny JMM and Canelo, that is an amazing feat that nobody has come close to.

I disagree. Most felt Marquez had beaten Pacquiao in their trilogy fight, which took place one year earlier, and got robbed.
And many felt at the time that Pacquiao was making a big mistake facing Marquez in a fourth fight, because there was so much danger and he always had a lot of issues in facing Marquez. It was also the biggest money fight for Pacquiao outside of facing Mayweather.Comment

- - PreBALCO brokeback Juan turned down a career purse 750K for the immediate Manny rematch to fly over to Thailand to get hammered by Chris John for 25K...priceless.

No, Floyd was a defensive potshotting boring 'fighter' with little power, always stealing the fans of their money by cruising to UDs. He was only good at moving his feet and head.

What has that got to do with JMM planking Manny because they fkd up with trying to make JMM stand toe to toe thinking he would be sluggish
Team Manny messed it up and it backfired.Comment

hmm yeah. Guys like Spence/Bud/Thurman are all in their 30s and supposedly still in their prime. maybe they're also taking easier fights too? I'd imagine guys back then took peds too.damn i didnt know their age gap was that much. Yeah knocking out the top guy a 32 year old at 40 as a welter weight that is damn impressive.
also i know people get weird about ped talk and like to think nobody is on peds when 95% of fighters are on peds, but this is the real indicator here is that so many fighters can be at the elite level from mid 30s to early 40s. That was unheard of in the 90s, 80s ect. you remember how shot guys like SRL, ALi were in their mid 30s?Comment
