I can’t think of a bigger cherrypick gone wrong besides that can top this one.

I suppose 32yr old Canelo getting brutally knocked out by a 40yr old Golovkin on September will top this one.

      Worst cherry-pick in history.

also one of the most brutal knockouts ever.

GGG shook Canelo to his toes in the 10th round of the 2nd fight. Canelo's arms went limp for a minute.

A cherrypick Marquez was Pac's toughest opponent from day one. Always had his number and he kept rematching him. Floyd kept ducking him so who else would have been tougher.

              To put it bluntly; No.

The third fight, yes. That was considered a cherry pick at the time, then Marquez arguably won.

How can the 4th fight be a cherry pick? He was fighting a guy who had arguably beat him 3 times.

It's hàrd to say fighting your kryptonite is a cherry pick. And although Pac decided he'd fight jmm, I don't think Pac sought this fight , jmm did the chasing.

Wilder 0-3 (we all know the draw was bogus) vs. Fury. Fury was supposed to be KO for Wilder and a quick pick of his lineal to leverage against AJ for equal purses. That's the worst I've seen in modern boxing.

damn i didnt know their age gap was that much. Yeah knocking out the top guy a 32 year old at 40 as a welter weight that is damn impressive.

also i know people get weird about ped talk and like to think nobody is on peds when 95% of fighters are on peds, but this is the real indicator here is that so many fighters can be at the elite level from mid 30s to early 40s. That was unheard of in the 90s, 80s ect. you remember how shot guys like SRL, ALi were in their mid 30s?
