Davis is waitin on a whole lotta fights. If it’s a worthwhile fight, he’s waitin on it.

It seem to become the trend once Floyd ascended the throne as "the PPV star" so u can simply call it the Floyd model. That said, even Floyd wasn't this bad with his selective matchmaking. Tank just refuses to fight anybody of note, Devin Haney seem like he's always posturing, Ryan Garcia aint worth a damn, Crawford, Spence, 160 pound Charlo etc..list goes on. Guys fight one good fight and then they feel they deserve 4 or 5 more light touches or go on self imposed hiatus and come back screaming get back fight.Truly shameful esp in an era where they only fight once or twice a year.
froid even opens his mouth so tank doesnt have toComment

The trainer may want to communicate that to the promoter because they sure as heck haven't tried to make the fight. I really like Tank but it's ridiculous that he's almost thirty and still hasn't been in a " big " fight.
Honestly , I'm pretty disgusted with the whole sport because of the lack of competitive big fights. It's a damned shame , especially when you consider how many extremely talented fighters we have active right now . I'm 53 and a lifelong fan, boxing is the only sport that I've ever followed. I've never seen so many potentially huge fights and potentially great fighters in the sport all at the same time. This could be a real Golden Era for boxing but the promoters and fighters are letting it slip away. What a disappointment.Comment

I wlways think about Mayweather's very caustous venture into lightweight, after beeing a very successful 130 lb champ..He picked, not a good lt weight challenger, but133 lb Emmanuel, Burton on a few weeks notice, with 15--16 losses., who, if he'c had any kind of a punch, could have won
The future Emmanuel Augustus got a walloping in that fight. Out of respect, Floyd would praise him for years as his toughest opponent, and it’s still a fun fight to replay. But with blood coming out of his ears, it was a good showing by the likable Augustus yet far from enough; he typically came up short against top talent, lacking as you say power and also leading an exhausting life as a road warrior who’d get jobbed in decisions in town after town.
His best days were ahead, actually, when he morphed into the Drunken Master, and made such great entertainment as a fringe star and gatekeeper on the old FNF on ESPN.Comment
