Jeez, building his own brand eh? Put Ryan in with any top man at 135, be it Lomachenko, Kambosos, Haney or Tank & he is going to get beat worse than Kurt Zouma's cat.Comment

It's been his online presence that has gotten him decent pay days so far. So I can understand why he'd want to build his own brand as a way to get bigger fights. But there will come a time when he'll have to show elite skills in the ring to get the fights that will garner him respect by boxing fans (and not just followers of influencers). But maybe legacy is not his thing?
And with respect to branding, you don't want it tainted with any controversy. I don't think it's just ego at play here. He's not daft enough to think that he and Canelo deserve equal priority from Reyno. As someone else menttioned, maybe he wants to distance himself from the fog of drug use shrouding that gym.
Well, i hope he doesn't think there's a Millenial shortcut to boxing greatness.Comment

Lol here comes the cadre of emasculated, jealous and scornful men intimidated by another man’s popularity with women. It’s almost like watching men bare their souls sitting on the Oprah couch disdainful over the life that was never meant to be.
Every Ryan thread is comedy gold.Comment

Would love to see it. Do you think it happens? Not this year. Garcia needs to get active and beat a notable opponent. And it'll only happen on PBC as we've seen what happened with them trying to make the Pitbull fight. I'm not hopeful but one can keep his fingers crossed.Comment

Him getting smacked in the mouth, Ruiz getting dropped by Arreola and Valdez getting popped then embarrassed, is a syllogism. Something is rotten, if not in fact, in method. There are no shortcuts, nobody is reinventing the sport, muscles have been tried before. Ryan has power and lacks defense. His skills are keep away and cut distance, nothing in between.Comment
