Being a great, badass fighter should be priority #1.
The fame and the "brand" and all the other shiny bullcrap comes afterwards. They take care of themselves as long as you take care of priority #1.
This tells me that Team Kingry's head isn't in the right place.Comment

it can be good n bad, Chepo has too many fighters too many egos, maybe he can focus more on his career being able to have a more focus camp on him rather than coming in after a Nelo camp, i suppose what happened Cryan missed his camp time with an injury n mental issues that Chepo moved on and now cant dedicate his time on Cryan for his next match up,Comment

I kind of feel him though. Legacy don’t pay the bills and boxing fans are the least appreciative fans of all sports. No matter who you beat or what you do there will always be a group of fans who never won a fight a day in their life criticizing you.Comment

Good points. ODLH changed trainers like gym shorts and he still had a helluva career. I also think Garcia is very skilled with some great athletic talents. However, I also see some issues (both mental and technique) that need to be worked on before they get exploited by an opponent. His head movement and defense need improvement and his mind seems less than focused.
As a believer in the kids skill and talent,I do find the comment about having to abide by a certain "schedule" concerning as well. It gives off a little Chavez Jr vibes.
Canelo takes precedent in that gym obviously so everyone else there, like Ryan is playing second fiddle and will have to work around that schedule. Now it could be that's what his dad is referring to and it's possible they no longer want to be sloppy seconds and have decided to built thier own gym or "brand". Everyone at some point, especially athletes, want to step out of anyone's shadow and become thier own star. He has the following and in my belief the talent to do so i wish him well but will tell if it was the right move or not.
I think he's developed quite a bit since he began working with the Reynosos. He went from an iffy win against Morales to icing Luke Campbell (after facing and overcoming early adversity). Maybe he does need to make a change but the comments by his father make me think he made the change for the wrong reasons.
