Comments Thread For: Reynoso: Offers For Canelo's Next Fight From PBC and Matchroom; Final Decision Has Not Been Reached

The next step in the incredible career of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez remains to be determined. Widespread reports regarding Alvarez being on the verge of signing a two-fight agreement with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing were refuted by those closest to the pound-for-pound king and four-division champion. The two rumored deals in place have Alvarez either returning to the DAZN family or remaining put with Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), both of which have the reigning undisputed super middleweight champion targeting a May 7 ring return atop a Pay-Per-View event.

The media has already ran with this as if the Bivol/GGG fights a done deal.

Still want to see the Charlo fight first.

But this all looks like team Canelo is leveraging the deals in the media, trying to get a bidding war going.

This is the unfair advantage of being the A-side to every situation, they can have agreed amongst themselves who they are going to go for next, but will drag there feet in signing and announcing the fight whilst sending out mixed signals to reduce the oppositions camp time. Dont expect a announcement this month.

If he fights bivol he’s gonna lose. On a 2 fight deal he’s probably considering the easy GGG money. Seeing how DAZN has been more than willing to overpay fighters I can see him fighting on that platform but I don’t know if it will be vs bivol anytime soon. A one fight deal to take on charlo then a one fight deal to take on GGG I think is the most likely to occur. Good looking fights but ones that don’t put canelo in much danger and will make him look very good.At that point canelo can decide if he wants to fight Ramirez bivol joe smith jr beterbiev or mukabu lol. He could still fight mukabu soon too. I just don’t think he’ll do a 2 fight deal

If these are the two paths, I'm fine with whichever one is chosen. While I think he will ultimately lose, I think the Charlo fight will provide alot of tense, violent action.

Bivol is a whole different type of challenge and GGG will also be violent even if he's old and shopworn.

I don't think Bivol will stop Canelo but he can probably outbox him the same way Kovalev was... unlike Kovalev however, Bivol can take a shot and then fights back even harder.

Enough is enough. Canelo unified the titles fighting bums. I was fine with that. Now it's time he faces either Charlo, Benavidez, or GGG.

I'm just glad a 3rd GGG has the possibility to not happen. Seen it twice, no interest in a third. Canelo has gone on to unify a division while GGG has sat around fighting the Rolls' of the world and waiting on a payday. Would rather see something new. If it's only a 1 fight deal vs Charlo from PBC he can take that then do the 2 fight deal with DAZN. I don't get how they'd get him that money since they are subscription based, but then again I don't really care either, just make the best fights
