He’s talked about fighting the best in the division and when we the fans want him to make good on his boasting we get told “no no no he should only fight has beens and never was’” he is becoming the new Tiktok Garcia, a lot of talent and improvement but a total unwillingness to take the next step. Clearly hearn has a lot to do with this as he is anticipating a Joshua with reduced star power after another loss. Without Joshua Hearn has ZERO stars ans needs a local British star to fill Wembley and the O2 with.

He's fighting Michael McKinson instead.

He's fighting Avanesyan after though. The eliminator is on hold ,as the Mckinson fight was practically done when it was ordered

Most fighters believe their ready for certain fighters when their not. That's ego. At keast he's putting faith in his team to keep him grounded. Nobody is asking him to fight Thurman but it's never ending with the Ennis Ortiz and Avanesyan BS. He's not ready for Ennis and Ortiz. Personally I think he beats Avanesyan. He's overrated and I wish they'd take that fight so he can beat him and shut people up. But it's not the be all and end all and people need to just let the guy get on with his career. He's in a better place than lots of other fighters have been after the same amount of fights with them having a more extensive amateur grounding. He's a work in progress, but people don't want to acknowledge that because they want him to fight someone he's not ready for, so he can lose, all because they have silver spoon issues. The attention his famous dad has brought on him has only piled the pressure on him all the more, and he has taken it in his stride. But the haters don't want to acknowledge that either. Truth be told I don't know if he'll amount to much and I wouldn't make any claims about him other than he has potential. But I'll be damned if I slate the guy, because of his famous dad or unpopular promoter or otherwise. The guy deserves his chance. And good or not he has the haters worried. So good for him. Long may it continue.

Look, like i said before. I'm not saying Benn is all that, and I never have. I think he's got potential. And I'm willing to give him the chance. He's not gonna be everybody's cup of tea. But too many people are running the guy down and its over the top. Maybe he'll flop. But he's just trying to get there and deserves some breathing space. Especially as most of the criticism in the UK comes from people who hate him because they hate his promoter. And if he flops fair play to you for getting it right. But how many will hold their hand up if he doesn't. Hardly any if any. If this was a lot of other divisions, I might agree a bit more, but this is the toughest division in the sport and he's just trying to get it right. Is that so bad?
