Eddie Hearn is building a star trying to emulate Arum. But it's looking silly. He's protecting his guy from guys who themselves are on Benn's level.

Same thing they do with most young prospects, only difference, he’s being honest about it. You have fighters like Virgil Ortiz calling out Crawford, knowing damn well even if the fight was presented, his team would never sign off on it.

You do know that the promoter works for the fighter don’t you? If fighters want a fight it HAPPENS.

Ortiz would take a Crawford Fight. Boots would take a Spence fight.

Benn won’t even take An Avanesyan fight even AFTER claiming he’s next. That’s madness. If he isn’t ready, then he better not try making people pay for his fights.

Benn's one punch KO of Algerie that no one had been able to do before him shows Benn is in the mix with the other prospects/contenders. Providnikov, Spence, and Pac couldn't send Algerie into another dimension like Benn did so Benn is ready for the mix.

Not the same but clearly I doubt any of those guys would have knocked Algerie cold with one punch even at his current age. They may have stopped him but this was an example that Benn is developing and carries some pretty good pop.

So now Spence doesn’t have pop like Benn? Honestly you people are funny. You take moral victories in the strangest of things. walk into any half decent boxing gym and talk like this, you’d get laughed out the gym by everybody.

Most fighters believe their ready for certain fighters when their not. That's ego. At keast he's putting faith in his team to keep him grounded. Nobody is asking him to fight Thurman but it's never ending with the Ennis Ortiz and Avanesyan BS. He's not ready for Ennis and Ortiz. Personally I think he beats Avanesyan. He's overrated and I wish they'd take that fight so he can beat him and shut people up. But it's not the be all and end all and people need to just let the guy get on with his career. He's in a better place than lots of other fighters have been after the same amount of fights with them having a more extensive amateur grounding. He's a work in progress, but people don't want to acknowledge that because they want him to fight someone he's not ready for, so he can lose, all because they have silver spoon issues. The attention his famous dad has brought on him has only piled the pressure on him all the more, and he has taken it in his stride. But the haters don't want to acknowledge that either. Truth be told I don't know if he'll amount to much and I wouldn't make any claims about him other than he has potential. But I'll be damned if I slate the guy, because of his famous dad or unpopular promoter or otherwise. The guy deserves his chance. And good or not he has the haters worried. So good for him. Long may it continue.

Of the top Welters only Ortiz had really pushed himself at the point in his carear.
