Devin Haney is being strung along only to be left disappointed, I don't think Eddie is being honest with him as far as what DAZN truly thinks about Haney. I think Eddie is trying to keep his word to Bill and Devin Haney and deliver for them but Politics on top of Clueless Execs at DAZN who don't know a damn thing about boxing believes that Ryan Garcia Social Media Following can translate into more Subs for them but IT WON'T.

Who are we to argue with them though, they have a Analytics Department and they have the Numbers, so if they see Ryan Garcia vs Kambosos as the bigger fight then clearly they have the numbers when it comes to Views and Traffic for what both fighters fight on DAZN and I guess clearly Ryan Moves the Needle more. Doesn't mean he is a better boxer than Haney but for these EXECS at DAZN the Mission is to build up their Subscription Numbers, they don't give a F^CK about what some Hardcores want as far as "Undisputed" and all that. If it doesn't move the needle for them they could give a damn if those fights happen or not.

Garcia has a name. That fight could work in Australia.

Over here, Kambosos will draw a few. Loma is barely known, Haney is completely unknown.

The 'big fight in Australia' has never made sense to me. Those fights do so much better elsewhere.

Put Kambosos up against some stiff. Aussies will still turn up.

Is that really viable on a streaming service though?

I liked the DAZN concept but it was never going to be sustainable.

DAZN realized Hearn has a boxer that has decent boxing skills.

But they’re the kind of skills that don’t attract ****. Playing tag, running around the ring and hugging the shiiit out of your opponent the second you get put on ***** Street.

DAZN knows Haney isn’t taking them anywhere. They aren’t paying top dollar to see him fight against anyone. Don’t care that he has a belt or not.

Plus Haney isn’t under contract. The days of DAZN overpaying are done.

I’m not sure. Hope not, as I enjoy the set up and cards

I think it’s closer to realizing Haney isn’t an attraction, has a boring tag/run around style and don’t want to pay for someone that isn’t even under contract.

They don’t care that he has a PRIDE belt or whatever his belt is called

Haney is not a DAZN fighter no more. His contract was not renewed.
I don't know how it is in Australia, but it seems Aussies have very little interest in boxing.
They're big into crickets, soccer and all these other sports Europe and the rest of world,
Middle East, South America, Africa, China, etc. have a huge focus on.

You guys aren't using your brains. Haney hasn't been strung along by anyone.

Kambosis-Haney doesn't generate enough money/sub to be worth the investment to make for DAZN. Haney isn't even signed with DAZN right now. No matter who wins, each guy can take the money/titles and go somewhere else.

Kambosis-Garia, on the other hand, does generate a lot of money/interest. Garcia is a huge draw. And signed with DAZN.

As a result, DAZN is interested in making Kambosis-Garia.

Meanwhile they'll keep trying to build Haney up, and, if Garcia wins, they can do a huge unification with both fighters on DAZN in the USA and generate crazy money/subs.

If Garcia loses to Kambosis, they can still do Haney-Garcia for Haney's title and it's still a huge fight.

This way, everyone wins. Including Haney.

Good post, although the first paragraph, let me ask you….if it was your million invested, would you take a risk with Kambo vs Haney and potentially losing it all, or being left with only $78k when it’s all done? Or would you want your money funneled into a Garcia Kambo fight where you can maybe get the million back and $78K in profits?

Ita easy to be mad at the execs when it’s not your money.

Im absolutely not surprised they want the Kambo vs Garcia fight.

Garcia has a name, has a following, has skills, has power, lends himself to a potentially more exciting fight vs Kambo, is the better looking kid.

The other is not a good looking kid, could potentially stink out the joint playing tag and running around the ring, has no following, no charisma, no personality and does nothing outside the ring but troll other fighters. On top of that has no long term contract signed.

Obviously DAZN is pushing in the direction we see now.
