Seems like the DAZN money is drying up. I think they’ll be out of the sport soon. It’s just not panned out like they hoped. Reminds me a bit of when Rocnation was throwing money about signing Ward, Cotto, Rigo etc but on a bigger scale.Comment

Of course not. Are you guys mad?? Been telling y’all since day one.
Kambosis will be the clear favorite, at least as far as Vegas goes, especially if the fight is in Australia. The fight has SD written all over it, and if course the hometown guy gets the nod. Haneys team knows this is a high risk fight so they’re going to be asking for serious money.
So DAZN will spend millions and millions of dollars for a fight that’s going to be held in Australia (overseas bouts almost always struggle for viewership US) and likely results in one of DAZN’s American champions losing his title?
Unless Kambosis is signing a multi-fight deal with DAZN, this bout doesn’t make financial sense. Too much risk, too little reward.

dazn is owned by a guy with $38b. he's gotten a lot richer the past couple of years.
they had 10m subs pre-pandemic...that was without even touching the surface as a platform. they spent a lot of money aquiring rights fees past couple of years. They've expanded globally in boxing. Why would eddie leave sky sports for dazn if he knew they were renegading on their agreement?
if they're not spending on a fight, it's because they know the market better than a bunch of forumers in their bedroom.Comment

Why are people here blaming Haney when it's his network that's screwing him over? Haney needs to leave that garbage ass app if they prioritize Garcia and Loma over him.Comment
