NSB Pick Em 2022 MASTERTHREAD

Me neither really. I have to x5 picks to go and I should have used them on two out of three of the Shields, Mayer, and Russell fights - which were all close odds. Hindsight is 20:20 though

I still can't forgive myself for not using x5 on Katie Taylor because I really believed that she wins
But damn if you would pick those and picked it right, you would really be Pick Em king I sometimes beat myself about my picks but not really, its just a game and your results are not too shabby!

Baumgardner won the first 3 rounds as Mayer started late like she usually does. Then I thought Mayer gave away the 10th round by not doing anything, Baumgardner edged it by being slightly more active. That's 4 rounds for Alycia right there...Mikaela did some good work but did she win ALL of the other 6 rounds? It was a close fight that could have gone either way. Probably Tatabanya should have gotten his draw.

Haney is cutting too much weight at this point. I bet he moves up now, the Lomachenko fight won't happen in my opinion.

I actually picked Baumgardner by KO... my draw pick was on Shields vs Marshall.

And I believe that Baumgardner won much more decisively than the cards say, outboxing Mayer for the large part of the fight. Four points for Mayer are an absurdity. The pressure she applied was actually ineffective in many spots.

It's not because old Lomachenko would "tax his ass." That is a big money fight that Haney has chased for a while and can win. Remember, it was Lomachenko's team who requested Franchise Champion status rather than have Devin looming as the WBC mando.

But judging from this last weigh-in Haney won't be able to make 135 much longer if at all.

thanks for the update mate - well, i got you off the draw but you going for the KO was all your own doing - i saw that and I raised an eyebrow at it - but fair play to you - great call!
I had a draw on Shields and Meyer fights - i thought at least one would be a draw - and in fairness, the way I saw it, the Meyer fight was either a draw or an A,B win at 96-94 - too many of her punches were blocked on the gloves.

Ergo you don't suck man.... you had an absolutely exceptional year last year and take it from an old git like me these things balance out over time. Besides, you're a good hearted dude - I got a nose for these things. That's worth a whole lot more than points on a game.
