Ancajas might be done after his 5 year run. I believe it took too much out of his mental and physical

    • Ha, somehow at number 4 if Tats updates are all correct... closing in on the prize positions. Fcuk did that happen?

Anyways... sat at home with the youngest both got some kinda tummy bug picked up over the weekend gathering / party and staying close to the toilet today. Look to getting this weekends Mega Pick Em up later on today, 6 fights, 2 threads.

      PART I

      Shields vs Marshall
      Mayer vs Baumgardner

      Kambosos vs Haney II

      PART II

      GAR vs Manny Rodriguez
      Plant vs Dog Dirrell
      Wilder vs Helenius

Not quite 100% on the chronology but it seems like Haney vs Kambosos has been scheduled for the US slots and is expected to air around 10.30pm ET / 3.30am UK time which is likely to clash with at least one of the fights from the Barclays. Either way breaking it down this way makes the most logistical sense even if the ordering doesn't come out precisely right.

In a piece of ugly news, my main computer has crashed two days ago, apparently with serious disk issues... My spreadsheet for the Pick Em standings lies in there. I'm trying hard to recover the shìt (a LOT of important stuff not backed up yet... Christ!)

Well it's looking like I'm housebound for at least another day or two so hopefully I'll get a chance to get up to date in the near future. If your machine is still running at all in principle you should be able to copy the tabulated data from this thread directly into your spreadsheet - leastways that's how I've got up to speed on the couple of occasions I've suffered catastrophic data loss. I can walk you through it on Open Office / Libre Office (my office suite of choice on account of it being both gratis, open source and not lining Gates' pockets). The process might be slightly different on MS Office but should definitely be do-able.

Course none of its any good if your 'puter is just broken, although sometimes a clean format and OS reinstall will bring even reportedly dead drives back to life in my experience

Alternatively I can always e-mail you my latest spreadsheets or share via a file sharing service once I got the thing up to date. Anyways - just let me know if I can be of help.

Also I'll just clear it with the rest of the CREW and make sure there's no objections but I think it's probably about time you got the CREW password and were formally added to the team - if you want it of course.

I don't know, it seemed like Martinez went in for the kill a couple of times and got countered, so he reset and took a slightly more cautious approach.

Whether it's his depth perception or not, Fundora doesn't look comfortable boxing on the outside, where he should be. How ironic that a 6'6" fighter does better work inside! I think both Charlo and Castano catch him and possibly KO him. Castano would love for Sebastian to fight him on the inside, that's his game. Jermell would pick him apart at long and mid-range. If Fundora tries to fight inside, Charlo will try to catch him with an uppercut. I think Jermell's uppercut would be more effective than Sebastian's, due to his arms not being as long.

Subzero… I agree 100% with ya. Sebastian doesn’t fight his his fight, he gets lured in by the crowd, he said as much. Castano would beat the piss outta him on the inside, Charlo would use either that uppercut or that over hand right to put his tall a$$ to sleep, no questions asked

i think if you are trying to upper cut a chin that is the same height as your shoulders your punches carry much more force - trying to uppercut a chin that is above your head height then your punches carry less force - try it, I did, you can feel the difference.
If a fighter is stood in on fundoras chest, yeah his arms will be too long - but if they are like 2/3 feet away his uppercuts are real effective and powerful as his opponents chin is where his uppercut has a lot of leverage - his chest height.

If he has bad vision this would explain why his jabs are not thrown with much conviction

I want to see Fundora given his shot before he fights Castano. Castano has had 2 bites of the cherry and needs to rebuild - not sure he'd choose a matchup with Fundora - there has to be easier paths to rebuild

                    • Steve, I gotta admit that I think the Fundora vs Castano
fight is not only a great measuring stick, but would also allow both up the rankings. Castano is no slouch, also has that quick way in and out. I don’t think Fundora would want to **** with Brian inside for long. It’s the type of fight he needs prior to a championship fight imo.
