Few months go by and Fury wakes up one day and decides he is very intested in kicking people when they are down. Turns out it is his style and he does like picking on someone who's no longer at the top of their game.

Also Fury in October claimed if he trained Joshua he would win the rematch. That goes with these comments that Joshua is a useless bum.

If I didn't know any better I'd think Fury just says any old thing that pops into his head.

Well now... Hes not writing a dissertation with a thesis committee where your sponser has enemies you have to have on your committee, who would relish nothing more than to destroy you at the feet of your sponser, because of a quaint academic issue...

Hes not preparing a document that will be read in order to maybe stop a conflict saving millions of people from dying if it is well written...

Hes a fighter trying to drum up interest in fighting... A great way to do that is to talk smack. I still maintain that Mayorga should get in the HOF on the one skill that he was the best at, shiat talking. Its part of the game.

This is all well and good but tomorrow he is likely to say the exact opposite to what he said today, literally everything he says is contradicted by himself at some point and literally everything he says is for attention.

Plus the moment it seemed possible that he could actually get that Usyk fight next he back tracked on wanting it and said he wanted a tune up.

Yeah, I don't really have a problem with fighters talking smack. As you say, it's what fighters do. It's the 180 after making the public announcement -- while everyone was listening, as he put it -- to stress how he wasn't going to talk smack about Joshua losing to Usyk. It puts him in the same bracket as Arum where I may as well disregard anything he says as junk.

Usyk's team had no real reason to be involved with negotiations unless Joshua and Whyte accepted some deal. Sometimes a promoter, despite the pain it causes them, have to tell the truth. You can tell because if something makes sense, and there is no motivation to cloud up the works, it probably has at least some truth to it.

Arum, the grand wizard of lying, conniving crapola, was interviewed and actually told the truth about the Fury situation. Why? I don't know... maybe it was too hard to think of a lie and besides, it benefitted Fury in this case. Let me break it down to you and the other trolls so there is no misunderstanding:

1) Fury hates to not know when he is fighting next... He also hates to be strong armed. We know this from experience right? Fury was looking at paying Joshua step aside... never mind whyte... Because Joshua would have to accept first before whyte and Usyk had any say in the matter.

2) Joshua wanted too much. So Fury got angry, like he did with Wilder... makes sense... Joshua never denied this. He made a point of being ambivalent about it, even in social media...

3) Under these conditions Fury decided to just take the Mando. Simple. Simple is usually correct, if the alternative is overly complex... Ockham's Razor....

4) This means that Whyte and Usyk never needed to even know about any of this Now STU THINK!!!!! Come on!!! Why wouldn't Fury ignore Usyk and Whyte? if he is waiting to see what Joshua says? Whyte himself has been equally quiet? why? Maybe because he was not sure if Fury would be his opponent? Point is: Fury had no reason to speak to anyone else, because speaking to anyone else seriously would have been a bad negotiating tactic. Better to not seem to want the fight that much... and not let Joshua see anything to suggest what Fury wanted.

Hopefully this doesn’t affect AJ performance again. He’s already admitted that people labelling him a stiff bum etc factored into his performance against Usyk. He was determined to show us how he can box apparently.

He can’t use same tactics he did in Ruiz Jr fight either so I find it pretty telling that Joshua has allegedly said he can win this fight without a trainer. That tells us Joshua Is planning on trying to “steamroll” usyk.

Shall be interesting whenever it’s finally set. I’m certainly putting it all on Usyk. But let’s see, If Joshua finds himself behind after the halfway mark, he’s going to get desperate at some point, he will have too. That’s when Usyk will take advantage of Joshua recklessness.

Watched fight 1 back earlier, there was atleast 7 occasions Usyk had AJ punching thin air, only for the commentary team to claim beautiful combos had landed. The commentary team tried to con people into believing the fight was much closer than it actually was. Especially the second half of the fight.

Also, I’ve never seen a fighter say an eye injury had affected him so badly in a fight, but then claim by the press conference it’s much better already? Lmfao. Many blood pressures getting raised by the article.

Joshua is in contract with Usyk.

The idea that Usyk isn't part of this is flawed. Joshua was being offered a deal to free Usyk from his obligations.

Fury, Top Rank, Warren... none of them have any contractual relationship to Joshua.

If you think Usyk wasn't party to the discussions then that's flat out wrong. I'd argue that the line of communication with Joshua/Hearn had to be Usyk and his team.

I always said it was too complicated to happen. Boxing can't even make mandatories and contracted rematches without drama - never mind chains involving 4 fighters, multiple tv networks, four boxing orgs and a suite of managers and promoters.

Makes me wonder whether it's all just marketing. It had zero chance of happening.

He was overpaid, overhyped, and there are much better fighters coming up the rankings who deserve recognition.
