Eddie Hearn is making a lot of sense here. It's not financially viable at this point for Matchroom to sign Terence Crawford because they neither have the roster or stable of fighters to match up with him. The place for him to be is the PBC since they hold all the cards at welterweight.

Bud should fire his management team also for giving him bad career advice. Now every promotional entity is going to be very reluctant in signing him since Bob Arum falsely claimed that he has lost a lot of money on his fights.

You have access to Top Ranks books? How do you know its false? Its quite conceivable that due to Crawfords high guarantees that Top Rank may have lost money on some of his fights.

Crawford does need to be realistic with his purse expectations. He’s been wrapped in cotton wool at espn. They over paid him several times.

I can respect the hell outta Eddie for at least being honest about this. He has no big welterweight fights to offer Bud. What’s the point in signing someone who’s gonna demand and deserve high purses, if you have nobody that he can fight to justify that. The only guy he’s got is Ortiz and thats not a BIG fight yet.

my question is, why isn’t PBC jumping on him?? They have so many great matchups for him besides Spence. Thurman, Danny, Boots, Ugas, plus a never ending line of stay busy scrubs to feed him. Seems weird that he doesn’t have a deal in the works with anyone

PBC don’t want him. One of their top execs went on record re: Spence vs Crawford “Why should we have to pay for it?” Bottom line, these guys want more than they are worth. Crawford thinks talent alone generates dollars.

When they made that statement, Crawford was with Top Rank! Things have changed! I'm 99% sure if Crawford went with Mayweather, Ellerbe and Haymon would get Spence vs. Crawford done easily! However, it's bigger than just Spence! There's Ugas, Boots, Thurman, Stanionis, Butaev, Brandun Lee, Gary Antuanne Russell, Subriel Matias, Shojahon Ergashev, Regis Prograis, Tank Davis, Jermell Charlo, Castano, and Lubin! There's enough fights for Crawford to choose from for the next 3 years!

lastly, the last calendar year, Top tank did great, PBC did fine, Golden boy were incredibly successful when they had canelo.

I like Hearns honesty with this one.Crawford is not a PPV guy but act and try to charge like one. He needs to be realistic. PPV results tells all. Spence PPV were way better than Bud. He should go to PBC and not demand too much right away. Once he beat Spence then he can demand a lot.
