The only reason why I said that the fight would've made more sense if it would be taking place in England is simply because McKinson is a known fighter over there, but nobody has ever heard of him over here in America.
The fight would've sold better over there because they've already been following this fighters career for years, the turn out to watch this fight over here will probably be very low.
As the saying goes in any business looking to turn a profit "if it doesn't make any dollars, it doesn't make any sense"., and that was my point in making my previous comment.
If I'm correct this'll be a mismatch, the fans won't come out in any meaningful numbers. and the event itself won't make any money.
I'm hoping thats not the case, that Virgel Ortiz's fans will still show up to support their fighter, and most importantly that the unknown Michael McKinson has a winning record for good reason, and that he puts up a fight for the ages.

I think Ortiz is ready for better fights than this and has been for a while. GBP are often bad at matchmaking for their prospects, Ortiz likely walks through this guy and learns nothing but bad habits.
Mixing in a softer touch for Vergil is actually great matchmaking. You don't just fight one tough opponent after another after another.

        This.

As good as Ortiz is, I honestly don't see him beating even a Thurman.
