Boxing Writers and especially promoters need to realise their power with fans, so when they trash talk a certain fighter or a gender in this case, it creates sheep that just regurgitate what they hear.
They did it to Rigo, turned any newcomers to boxing off him, they’d read one article and minds made up before seeing his ability.
Time to start using their platforms for the better of boxing.
Bob is only at same stage of life most our grandparents or parents for some of us get to, they stop giving a F*#! About peoples feelings and stop treading on egg shells. So I take his odd rants with a pinch of salt.
Top Rank just does the promoting and supplies and/or arranges the matches. ESPN call the shots, not Arum. In this same report doesn't this barely presentable writer say that all the major female boxers are complaining about ALL the networks. Arum owns none of them, but a 90 year old geezer is easy to attack, knowing that he 'll pay no attention to it..Last edited by edgarg; 02-02-2022, 05:53 AM.

And most of the spectators were and still are..men. They earn and pay the money, they want to watch something they like. Which as time goes by and greedy boxers and jumped up promoters become more so, they get less entertainment value for more money.
And this crappy article writer has the nerve to criticise a man who promoted some of the greatest fighters of all time, including 26 of Muhammed Ali's fights. His first promotion was an Ali fight. Hagler was with Arum his whole career and they never had a contract other than a shake hands one. He would never hear a word against Arum.

I usually try to avoid it, but i recall being pressured by some beta on here to watch a rematch between Katie Taylor and some ginger chick.
Literally the worst fight I've ever seen, it was like watching a couple of children flail at each other in the playground. No power, no skills, just two women punching each other, i don't want to see that shit.

Did he just say “women haven’t been given a fair shake?” I guess this nimrod never heard of title 9 that made women’s sports funding in college on par with mens even though they bring in next to nothing and are a net loss. He ever see a WNBA game?

Katie can sometimes look a bit amateurish, but still, I dig her warrior heart. I understand you, tho, I myself don't like or usually watch heavyweight boxing. You'll never find me in a heavyweight thread.
