New York City based Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin (22-1) is going to stay busy, when he returns to action on February 5 in Cardiff, Wales, on the undercard to the middleweight grudge match between Chris Eubank and Liam Williams, which is being carried by Sky Sports.

Otto Wallin fights these opponents and will then say Whyte is ducking him while simultaneously living off his loss to Fury.

    This guy’s a clown

What’s he expected to do when his opponent lies to get out of fighting him? Nothing wrong with this opponent considering the circumstances, if he follows this through with similar level opp, then sure roast him. Right now he’s coming of a career best win.

      stop nitpicking.

Remember when they were building Granat vs Wallin..both considered decent prospects at the time. Granat turned out trash. Then when wallin was scheduled to fight fury everybody said he was a bum as he was unbeknown to the casuals. All these years later hes still knocking around but he needs to up the competition, i know he tried to with whyte but time is of the essence.

Better than this opponent. He isn’t fighting guys all with losing records. Like I say, in reference to the statement I made, what can he do if Whyte pulls out and the other guys are seemingly tied up or uninterested. Who should he fight? Kekka down mush.

Not everybody. That’s a blanket statement. There was many a poster on here who knew who wallin was from amateurs. He obviously had a horrendous USA Debut, ended in a NC or Technical decision. He’s a solid fighter who would of been the favourite over Whyte for me. Much better fundamentals than Whyte has.

I’d prefer a better opponent but he just wants to get some rounds in so Sokolowski is the perfect opponent. A durable guy that comes to fight who has pulled off a few upsets over the years. Wallin should have no issues winning & he will get some much needed rounds in. Hopefully can get meaningful fights in 2022.

Indeed, some think the only reason why Wallin is rated high by others is because of the Fury fight. Wallin had some buzz about him when he made his US debut, he had good amateur background and had been in a few camps for other fighters and done well.

That debut fight was against Nick Kisner IIRC and it was televised. There was a clash of heads and Kisner acted like he had been shot in the head. It's unfortunate for Wallin because it was not how you want to kick things off. Ironically enough, Kisner was just KO'd on the undercard of the King PPV.

It wasn't just the Whyte fight that fell apart, the big Swede was trying to get in the ring with Ortiz and the Cuban apparently wanted none of it. The Sokolowski fight isn't ideal but he was dropped from the rankings for inactivity. He just needs to keep fighting and hopefully he can land a decent matchup.

Man, Wallin can make a dent in this division, and obviously he just needs a fight, but Jesus, who tf is this guy?!

That’s a losing record if ever there was such a thing…
