He needs to fight the 40yr old Golovkin in September! Canelo will be 32 this year. The same age as 32yr old Pacquiao when he got brutally knocked out by a 40yr old Marquez!

I have to agree with the guy, his fights are not of the type you will be going back to and re-watching due to the raw excitement of the fights he has had. You can respect a guys accomplishments, and still find the fights to not be that impressive on another level. Some people find that hard to follow I don't. That is that both facts can exist but they can and they do. And it is not disrespectful towards the fighter.

Nacho’s comparing Canelo relative to JCC and Pacquiao, 2 ATG’s, not Benavidez, Charlo, and other contemporaries that don’t have half the resume.

The paranoia surrounding Canelo’s fights is understandable because of humanity’s tendency to doubt, it doesn’t matter if they’re a human trainer or not.

Canelo’s defense is A+ and his counterpunching is B+/A-, his opponents get gunshy after missing punch after punch and countered in return. Elite boxers will continue to try to win regardless, which is why we saw GGG and Kovalev made for good fights. Outside of the elite, most will have their survival instincts take over and try to minimize the damage.

In Mexican boxing there’s a no surrender mentality and to see fighters like Callum Smith, Yildrim, and Plant go into survival mode must be frustrating or just plain corrupt. They should ask Alfredo Ángulo what it’s like to fight Canelo and not go into survival mode.

Nacho is spot on! He is too old and wise to fall for the same gullible bullshit by boxing fans. He's been around a long time and knows bullshit when he sees it. Since GGG 2; Canelo has obviously been avoiding the stiffest challenges, competition and opposition out there. Only a fool or a fan boy could say otherwise.

Nacho is simply saying what's I've always said. You can't capture the heart of a real fan of boxing by fighting sparring partners like Avni Yildirim, British tomato can Rocky Fielding, light punching runners like Plant and B Job Saunders, gun shy Callum Smith, washed up Potato Vodka addict Kovalev, past prime guys with names like Jacobs, Mosley, and Cotto, Lame Liam Smith, thin chin Amir Khan, a fat marijuana and perico filled Chavez jr., El Turtle Angulo, a washed up James Kirkland without Anne Wolfe, Austin sea Trout with a pickle and side of hush puppies, getting smoked by Mayweather, ran like a thief in the 1st GGG fight, win dubious decion against Lara, come forward in the 2nd GGG fight but still get outboxed and get your eye busted open in the 12th round, people like Carlos "******" Baldomir, Matthew Hatton, and the list goes on and on and on. Old past prime guys, light punchers and runner, smaller guys coming up, guys who have been knocked cold many times, etc. His whole record is made up of this kinda crap. He has no Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez or Chavez Vs Meldrick Taylor or Marquez vs Pacquiao level fight anywhere on his resume. And when he did step up to a real one, he was schooled. he is a great fighter, like Nacho said, but not based on his carefully matched resume. He is not a fight anyone at anytime kind of fighter like a James Toney. Not by far

These old guys are so deluded. Yeah, what Canelo is missing is 75 debutants and cab drivers like Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Canelo would batter Chavez 100 time out of 100. Different class to that overrated bum. Nash out.

Although I would love to see Canelo in a back and forth balls to the wall fight that he is losing and has to dig down deep inside for a comeback win it isnt necessary. He gets the ring and does his job without that having to happen. The Rocky movies are rarely a reality and when they are it takes longevity out of a fighters life.
