Should Amir Khan already be in the Hall-of-Fame?

    Olympic silver medalist
Multiple weight title holder, unified light-welterweight world champion
Wins over Barrera, Malignaggi, Koltelnik, Maidana, McCloskey, Judah, Collazo, Alexander, etc.
Britain’s youngest ever Olympian and one of the youngest world champs ever.
    Avoided by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Dude gets a lot of hate because he gets all the cars and ladies, but one can’t deny he is one of this generation’s finest boxers who brought excitement in every fight.

Nope, he falls short for me.

Very good career, but definitely not hall of fame

Needed to win a belt at welterweight, and he needed a win over one of thr elite guys at that weight. Two wins over this list, Bradley, Marquez, Thurman, Danny, Pac, Crawford, Porter, Brook, Spence, with the body of work he has would have got him in imo.

I think if he had beat swift in a rematch and picked off one of the other names on that list, he would have got in.

The comments above both make and break the case. I think he's a fine fighter and a real success story. IBHOF has a running ballot list and a number of champion fighters like Amir are on it. I say he's right on the cusp in terms of what he's done, where he's come up short and his total contribution to our global sport. A late career flourish might seal the deal. I am close to the hall, and I can tell you that criteriea is more art than science when adding up all the factors one needs to consider when placing a fighter on the ballot. Some are shoe-In while others need to be carefully weighed against others nearing being voted in...a thread of it's own. Note that as an active fighter, Amir Khan is not yet eligible for consideration.

Heck no. Fighting the best and losing constantly doesn't get you in, you have to win some of those fights. Didn't Barrera come out of retirement for that fight? His best win at 140 is Maidana and his best win at WW is either Judah or Malignaggi. When you have to add McCloskey as one of his best wins then you've already answered your own question

No hate at all, it's the truth. If hate then dispute what I've said. Should be easy

Khan had a really good run at 140, if he could've had even 10% of that success at welterweight I would say he's in but...

Maidana, Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Judah were all at 140. Should have got the nod over Peterson. Swift stopped the run, but it was a hell of a run.

He made more than a solid start at 47, with dominant wins vs Collazo and Alexander, then looked average against Algieri in a W.

The problem is after that point, instead of going for one of the belt holders at 47, he went for Canelo and that knockout pretty much finished his career at top level.

He's not as far away as you think but agree that he isn't HOF
