Fury vs Usyk could be on?

That's what all the sane boxing fans would want. What the hell, throw Whyte vs Wallin on there as well. IF, Fury and Usyk was made, it would have to be on the terms of Joshua fighting the winner (and guessing Usyk if a draw, with Fury and Usyk settling down the line) but assuming this is the case, I think Hearn would want Joshua fighting a decent, but no real threat type of guy, with a title shot looming, rather than Wilder, who I believe knocks Joshua out. Still, we can dream. Nash out.Comment

I think Fury vs Usyk for undisputed in Saudi would burn eddie the most..and aj too. it would only be worth it if they throw £30-40m at aj. i don't think he even cares for £20m step aside. i feel eddie just likes to say stuff so there are stories about him.
The way social media standing works is not only based on your subs, it's based on the same google metrics as any website these days. twitter/insta have their own internal system but it does include google analytics/api's. Google rewards backlinks more than anything, so the more websites mentioning eddie and this even extends to these threads/convos, benefit his social media standing which in turn benefits matchroom. These days this sh** matters the most to him. Why? because down the line he intends to flog matchroom on the stock exchange for billions.
As for AJ losing to usyk again, it would not prevent aj-fury from happening anyway. That fight will always happen. Manny pacquaio lost a load of fights, didnt stop him fighting mayweather. The only way step aside does happen is if there's a lot of money for it put up by the saudis and aj wants that, lacking belief in himself.

That’s exactly what he should do, as long as he can get it in a contract that he fights the winner
It would be way more beneficial to him too, He can have an interim fight with a new trainer, because as it stands he’s probably going to have like an 8-10 week camp with a new trainer then fight Usyk again, which is pretty much pointless. If he’s going to get a new trainer, then he should do it properly and spend some good time with that trainer and have an interim fight. I don’t think he can beat either Fury or Usyk anyway but he should give himself the best possible chance by spending longer with a new trainer.
To me it seems like the most logical thing to do as long as he can get a guaranteed fight with the winner.
I guess the only other problem is wouldn’t they have to get Whyte to step too, might not be willing if he’s complaining he’s been waiting so long.
But I know some governing bodies will prioritise a unification over a mandatory, I don’t know if the WBC do. Also Whyte apparently waiting so long is nonsense because he lost his mando status when he got knocked out by Povetkin until the rematch, So officially he hasn’t actually been waiting that long.Last edited by deathofaclown; 01-19-2022, 04:01 PM.Comment

The problem is a lot of Joshua’s fans are people who don’t actually watch boxing apart from his fights, so once he loses again to Usyk, his fan base is going to drastically decrease. His fan base has been dwindling for a while since the losses. Another loss will be the final nail in the Coffin. Plus then he is going to be the clear B-side if the Fury fight was ever to happen after another loss to Usyk, and he might get nowhere near the money that he once could’ve, which might not make the fight that appealing to him anymore or even the thought of continuing boxing.

I think the best bet would be to step aside and be guaranteed the winner, because if Usyk won, then he can have an interim fight to spend with a new trainer to give him a better chance of beating Usyk later. If Fury was to win the unification, which I think he would, then Joshua gets that mega fight while it’s still more appealing.
If Joshua steps aside and can get it in a contract to fight the winner, then I think he would be ****** not toComment
