If Thurman's pitch is that boxers deserve more money, don't look at PPV but the percentages fighters pay to promoters, managers, the boxing orgs and trainers.

Card is meh, Thurman is coming off a loss to a washed up Pacquiao, Barrios is coming off a KO loss at a smaller weight class and LSC is coming off a KO loss as well. He is also choosing to box a guy whose last 10 opponents carry a combined record of 153-120. I don't pay for name recognition only, LSC should be ashmed of taking this kind of fight. He should also be stripped of his title but that Haymon/WBA connection will keep it on him for sacrificing himself for Porky to have a name on his record. We can't be too shocked, some of us knew he had no honor long ago when he ducked Rigo with the crooks at the WBAs help.

Keef bein a yes man....if money is the issue, tell your manager/promoter to guarantee more in your pay and not have to worry about ppv covering your end. Matter of fact, fight better opps, not just you, and stack the fcukin card and a ppv is worth it

Thurman Barrios will turn out to be an excellent fight. The calibre of both guys, right now, doesn’t support a ppv but they’ll match up very very well together.

How can you tell it will be an excellent fight?
Both guys coming off losses, Thurman has been out of the ring for years, Barrios having his first fight at the weight and hasn't ever been at Thurman's level, Thurman is past prime and injury prone. There is no belt at stake and the undercard is trash.
And on top of all that, it's PPV!
What part of that says 'excellent fight'?

The more and more this clown talks the more and more I think he's a literal dimwit. If you don't wanna get punched in the ****ing head don't be a boxer idiot. But that does NOT make you some kind of PPV attraction and **** paying extra for these fights. You'll get em how you get em.

You don't pay because of the risk to the participant, you pay because of the entertainment value. A really great fight is better than anything. I think I'd take Duran v SRR 1 or Chavez v Taylor1 or Ali V Frazier 1 or 3 ahead of almost any other sporting event, short of the best World Cup final (probably Germany v Argentina in 1986). However, most boxing matches are actually not that entertaining. A bad fight can be more painful on the spectators than the participants. I remember watching Funso Banjo fight for the British title v Hughroy Currie. So, while I appreciate Keith's comments, I'm not going to pay £20 to watch a guy who was a contender alternately punch & clutch a guy who has never been a contender & is mostly focussed on going the distance.
