Hoping this fight happens. Yoka has fought the better competition. From what I have seen of both I would say both look like they have the goods but Yoka has shown me more at this point due to fighting better opponents. Rice, Dimitrenko, Wallisch, Hammer, David Allen & Duhaupas. Not bad names on the resume thru 11 fights. Hrgovic has Kingpin, Molina, washed Mansour & a couple other journeymen. Both have some faded names but Yoka has a little better resume in my opinion.

This is an evenly matched IBF eliminator. I’m excited about the matchup so lets hope it happens. I can’t see Yoka taking the fight unless it’s in France.

Definitely agree with this assessment. At the time Yoka fought Rice, he hasn't established his reputation as the durable spoiler quite yet. The Hammer, Milas and even the Djeko fight were against guys who were either tricky or coming to win. Yoka has alot of decent names packed into an 11 fight resume.

I still think I favor Hrgovic to win and my guess is by later rounds stoppage. I think the Frenchman is the smoother and more athletic guy but I think Hrgovic has heavier hands and probably a bit more durable.

Interesting if this ends up in France, don't see too many big clashes like this over there.

I lost the last reply to,me this new set up erases the notification if you click on the thread it’s not good that way you have to go find the poster if you do t reply back right away .

I think it was who has more experience in big fights ? Yoka has headlined but in France it’s not really the same thing ,Hrgovic has fought international his entire life ,has been hand picked by the big names in boxing as sparring partner , etc etc…All around I don’t see anything Yoka does better besides the stiff jab and better defense but he fights like a turtle with less punch out put ,not sure if that more effective because it limits his his offense and makes him stationary target he’s basic moving forward only with predictable sequences where Hrgovic moves in different directions and hits you unexpectedly at all angles .

Interesting fight … I honestly cannot see Yoka winning this at all. I think Hrgovic destroys Yoka without much problem

Yeah that happens to me as well. Frustrating.

I had mentioned previously that while Hrgovic may have been on bigger cards, he was usually tucked away early in undercards when there aren't a whole lot of fans in the stands. I don't recall him ever headlining any fight cards. Yoka has headlined cards (albeit in France). It may be a moot point since alot of these guys have been fighting with limited crowds due to pandemic and it will be the first real test for either.

I look forward to seeing if Hrgovic fights as defensively negligent against Yoka as he has been recently. He can get away with that fighting Balkans Uber drivers but it's a bad habit to get into when he steps up the competition.

At any rate, look forward to it and glad that it appears someone has finally taken the challenge of the Croatian fighter.

Saw someone posting about how funny Nash's post was and yeah it was clever but I think you took the cake with the biggest joke when you paired Hrgovic and angles in the same sentence lmao.

Great fight. Hrgovic was robbed against Yoka in the Olympics, this will settle things. Looking forward to it.
