Definitely agree with this assessment. At the time Yoka fought Rice, he hasn't established his reputation as the durable spoiler quite yet. The Hammer, Milas and even the Djeko fight were against guys who were either tricky or coming to win. Yoka has alot of decent names packed into an 11 fight resume.

I still think I favor Hrgovic to win and my guess is by later rounds stoppage. I think the Frenchman is the smoother and more athletic guy but I think Hrgovic has heavier hands and probably a bit more durable.

Interesting if this ends up in France, don't see too many big clashes like this over there.

Jean Marc Mormeck at CW then HW did good numbers there. Takam used to live there & Duhaupas still does but neither drew like Morneck who I think had his fights on PPV.

I’m not sure if the IBF has a set mandatory split ,they have before but Parker and Ortiz had zero interest in this fight ,if it wasn’t about money it would have been about fake injuries or injuries that wouldn’t actually stop the fight a few months away .

They do. In this case its #3 Hrgovic vs #5 Yoka, so it would be 60-40 Hrgovics way.......



9.D. Purse Bid

The two highest ranked available contenders in an eliminator and those contenders ordered to participate in a box off have the obligation to proceed to a purse bid if so ordered by the President. All of the procedures set forth in Rule 10 will govern the purse bid with the exception of §10B, “Minimum bids” and ¶10E, “Disbursement of Proceeds”.

Proceeds of the purse bid for elimination bouts or box offs will be distributed as follows:

a. Boxer ranked #1 v. Boxer ranked #2 50% to each contestant

b. Boxer ranked #1 or #2 v. any other boxer 75% to boxer #1 or #2 and 25% to other contestant

c. Boxers ranked #3 or below v. boxer ranked #3 or below 60% to higher ranked boxer and 40% to lower ranked boxer

Yoka is faster than hrgovic and seems to be able to hit. Both these guys are unknown quan****** in a competitive fight, if one of them is a fraud we will find out here.

Seems to good to be true for sure.

I think with the regular title changes and mandatories building up though, these guys know they have to fight each other. It's not like the Wlad era where you just had to win one half decent fight and wait around 2 years for the Wlad payday.
