I never said he shouldn’t be fighter of the year. I’m just putting his year and opposition into context. I think there are several guys who had individual wins against better opposition than any of Canelo’s 3 opponents, but none fought 3 times. Canelo gets it due to unifying and activity level but if we’re being honest, none of the 3 wins were standout wins.

BJS and Plant were standout wins because he was able to show his improvement agiast slick fighters, in a higher weight class and who were undefeated champions. Don't forget Canelo also gave them any little advantage they wanted so there would be no excuses.

Haters will soon run out of shit to talk and will just have to admit they are racist fks.

It would be hard to imagine anyone over Canelo for what he has accomplished over the last year, especially against a young naturally larger opponent in his prime like Plant

So what you’re essentially doing is comparing Saunders and Plant to Floyd and Lara? I can’t with you Canelo fans. You guys love him so much that you’ll say just about anything in his defense. Neither of those were standout wins and in all honesty, it’s not as if canelo was dominant in those wins prior to the stoppage the way he was against the plodders like smith or Yidilgrim. So he didn’t necessarily prove his improvement against slick fighters because he still didn’t look entirely comfortable and was fighting 2 guys that are on a significantly lower level than the last slick fighters he faced.

You clearly don't know shit about Boxing and are not worth a read or response. My bad for quoting you to begin with. I hope your hate for Canelo eats you up inside, moron.

Some fighters had some great wins, Kambosos stands out as one, but no, all in all I can't think of anybody who you could seriously argue deserves FOTY 2021 ahead of Canelo

You compared Saunders and Plant to Floyd and Lara. You have no standing to accuse anyone of not knowing shet about boxing. Stating the truth isn’t hating. You groupies are just too sensitive and think it’s hating because your feelings get triggered.

Beating some no hopers should not be anything special.

Wow, tunnel vision on your part. low class calling people derogatory names. everybody is entitled to their opinion.over the years alvarez has fought lots of mediocre competition. he is an excellent fighter, but he usually fights guys he knows he can beat, champions or not. will he fight beterbiev? of course not. i give him lots of credit for the ggg fights but he didn't win their first one that's for sure.
