Called it in another thread easier in the week - Only Zhang or Kayabel might take the fight, because they're the only two guys with no path to paydays on the horizon.

It's going to be Zhang versus Hrgovic. Zhang has to make his move now, time not on his side and at 38 the best names on his resume are Forrest and Rudiyenko.

Zhang is big and he appears to hit hard. That's all the positive I have for him. He's pretty basic, slow as molasses and have to wonder about his stamina after he nearly died of exhaustion and dehydration against Forrest.

Hrgovic should ice the Chinese fighter, who is probably the only HW contender even more stiff and more robotic than the Croat. Hrgovic can be hit at times and if he doesn't mind his defense, it's possible (not probable) Zhang can land something heavy on him early.

Yep definitely the same logic as Ortiz but the Haymontards won't like it.

At this point, idgaf, give it to him.

I've become a Hrgovic fan based more on how many people duck him than his actual boxing. Admittedly he's done **** but I swear to **** it's like Wilder over again except this time I guess people agree with Fil rather than that ***** ass excuse "high risk low reward" which seems to only be coming up as explanation rather than justification now.

Either way how can Fil do anything worth a **** if no one will fight him? Exactly, so **** it, let him beat the dog **** out of this Chinese Fatmanstein. Proves **** all. Probably won't get a chance to display much, but TF else can you ask of him?

There you have it. The article said Zhang is ranked by IBF. There is his opponent for the final eliminator. Hey if Zhang wins he is the mando. Zhang wasn’t get big fights nor is Hrgovic. 2 guys willing to fight for a title shot. Chinese put in a bid for fight? Could be a massive event there…

Neither of these Fighters are in much of a position to pick and choose. They both need to get their names out there. I say make the fight.

Zhang shot himself in the foot with the Forrest fight coming out the gates as his first high profile fight on Dazn . I think he’s a bit better then that showing not sure he even persued the controversial draw ? Hrgovic should clearly be favored in it and has much better history with top guys helping them out fro Haye to Klitschko,he even has a win over Parker in the ams most are unaware of .

Hrgovic isn’t choosing he’s waiting fir anyone to accept it he doesn’t care who it is .the guy is like the terminator he’s seeking a victim and that’s his mentality .

Hrgovic isn't a boogeyman, but this desperate, low-profile 38 year old with no options wanting to face him doesn't dispel the notion that name fighters with other options are in no hurry to face Hrgovic.
