Now that WBO light flyweight champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon (33-0-1, 6 KOs) has defeated #1 rated Rodel Mayol in their rematch, he is looking to the future. “It’s no secret that the biggest fight for me is with Brian Viloria,” said Calderon. “He and I have a history going back to our amateurs when we fought multiple times and are both currently world champions. I want to make it clear that I have no problem traveling outside of Puerto Rico to make the fight happen!”


and for those who like to say calderon "runs".. donarie ran his ass off against concepcion. Oh I forgot, boxers only "run" when its not your boxer......

Agree BlackIrish, nice breakdown.

He made some good points, especially about how many top ten he has fought. It is an argument that can be made.

But I disagree with his description of calderon's style, It is boxing not running and he did engage Mayol. He can't diminish calderon's style by calling it running. The last 3 fights he has been in there with bigger guys, is not as if we are talking chaves jr. who only fights guys that are way smaller with way less reach.

lil' man is a top P4P fighter......the boy is slick as a bottle of Crisco!!!.....Mayol was beating the **** outta the air while Calderon was poppin' him with lil' sneaky **** then skatin' on him......brilliant ****!!!.....I appreciate technical boxing and lil' man is one of the best technical players in the game!!!......I like him!!

but recognize!!! one of the purest boxers of the game he only beat you with skills .. no power... so.. i never expect him to stand toe to toe against anyone..!!!
