Ive heard people mention him as one before...Im sorry, but thats baloney. talk all you want, Mayol is nothing good, and has badly lost every time he stepped up, yet Calderon struggled with him twice. half of Calderon's fights nowadays end up in cut-short fights due to head clashes, where he never has dominant victories.
as for his title reign at minimumweight, the guy only held on to the WBO the whole time. no unifications. how are you fighting the best available competition when youre not fighting the other 3 fighters out there with belts? its like Joe Calzaghe all over again, except without the Kessler, Lacy, and Hopkins wins.
and pop quiz, was Calzaghe ever considered P4P material before the Lacy fight?

maybe Calderon has seen better days...but from what Ive seen of him, hes no p4p top ten fighter.
