It was a good fight, once Calderon found his rhythm and defense kicked in he kept Mayol outta the fight. You could expect some national crying if the decision went either way, no surprise there. Problem is, there are some posters who talked a lotta **** before the fight and thats what happens, humbling, nothing written in boxing.

If I go to a fight and NEVER seen a fighter with 10% Ko's on his record, I will know before the fight starts that he is a slick boxer (which most fans already know about Calderon).

I just want one of the people that complained about calderon supposedly running and why they did not cry when donaire was running. to me it was not running in either case. they boxed and thats what the do best.. both donaire and calderon are more boxers than brawlers..

Calderon has mastered the art of boxing, to bad that most people don't appreciate it. Mayol is not at that level even with all the physical advantages he had comming into the fight. Like I predicted before the fight was gonna end in another head clash. Ivan doesn't have the power to keep any fighter away and in their frustration they recklessly advance to get close.

I guess you can make a case of the other fighter trying to press the fight. But now at days when somebody actually boxes they call it running.
