C'mon guys if you guys know a lil of boxing don't you guys think that Mayol is just another boxer drying and starving himself to dead just to make 108 and pick fights with smaller boxers like Cazares and some other fighters did..?

If people are basing fights on quanity, then a lot of undefeated fighters would have losses right now.

You have to HIT the other person to score. This is boxing.

Lol at Calderun.. ya ni99as are pitiful. Making these names up. Respect the man and his technique you **** suckers.

This is like a pinoy Vs rican war man! LOL. Seriously, you guys need to stop backing your fighter so much and stop and think for a second. I watched the fight, Calderon did back off a lot, but lets be seriously, Mayol didn't land a thing and Calderon picked him off with shots and that was that. Mayol got frustrated lunged in and caused the cut...and it was a BAD cut. It was deep, blood was dripping and what not, it would be insane not to stop the fight. Mayol and Calderon have got bad styles for each other and there shouldn't be another rematch, you could see after the first fight this was gonna happen again and it did. Hopefully both boxers can move forward and go on to be more successful, but the right man won.

I have not seen the fight so I can't give any opinion right now but beside the Pinoy and Rican posts here, which can be biased, I've have notice that the other posters (non Pinoy or Rican just like you) have a majority of opinion that Ivan did win because he made Mayol missed alot while being countered alot and that is somthing typical of Ivan's fight.

Good points about there stlye being bad for each other. I really beleive that Ivan will continue to have the clash of heads problem because of his size. He is now facing even more taller guys than in the past and when these taller fighters try to downsize there height to try to come to the same height level of Calderon in order to connect, especially to the body in order to slow him down a little, that's where they start bumping or clashing heads, not to mentioned the fact that Calderon sometimes needs to jump at a boxer to reach his face while counter punching.

Bingo! Calderon vs Mayol 3 would end up in another cut stoppage. Mayol matches up well stylewise vs Sosa and Viloria, fighting Calderon in PR was a bad move. TR needs to either make the unification now vs Viloria or Calderon make a decision, but even considering moving up to 112 a fighter who is a small 105 is ******.

mayol's handlers should pit him against patsy fighters back in his native land where he reigns supreme.
