How much money is there really in an Andy Ruiz fight?

This seems like a complete blunder unless he thinks he can get fury. The only cash out fights out there are fury and Joshua and the path to Joshua comes from fighting the eliminator and hoping Joshua beats usyk.

It's not surprising Ortiz turned it down. I'm glad the IBF appears to be forcing these guys to declare their intentions out in the open so we don't have phantom claims. Hrgovic accepted, Ortiz declined. It's that simple.

I get why Ortiz declined, it's likely not going to be for all that much purse and it's against a bigger, younger and dangerous opponent. At this point in his career there's not much margin for error to maximize revenue. Ruiz would be good. I really hope it's not Wilder again, there are so many more interesting and compelling fights for both of them.

Probably so. Hughie doesn't seem to have a problem fighting top guys but he also delivers the aggression and excitement of Kingpin Johnson when fighting them. If only Hughie had some pop....

Some of you are confused. You seem to think that Ortiz doesn’t want to fight the bum Hrgovic. That isn’t the story at all.

What a lyin maricon Ortiz is......

“My message is for all of the heavyweights out there,” stated Ortiz. If you want to fight for the title, you have to go through me.”

More money than a fight against Hrgovic. It makes the most sense.

If he loses against Ruiz, he still makes more money than if he would lose to Hrgovic. And if he beats Ruiz, he adds a way bigger name to his resume than Hrgovic is.

So now the boogey man lost his pen when he was offered the AJ fight and now has declined the IBF eliminator as expected. Bottle job

I think with the influence of Andy Lee he would take it.
Think he’d support his fighter to take the fights he needs to take eg the Chisora rematch

Quickest way to a title fight is through Hrg. Last time i checked Ruiz isnt in any position to challenge anything. But then again, Haymon will grease the wba like he usually does and itll magivally become an eliminator.
