  • Seems the boogeyman tale disintegrated in real time in front of our eyes.
We'll most likely never hear of Luis Ortiz again at the rate he's fighting.
Young guys can fight once a year as much as they want, but Ortiz is not young.
He'll probably come back as an exhibition fighter.

Hrgovic is with Matchroom. i don't understand why the two companies don't get along and work with each other? The PBC does cards with Top Rank; Like Fury/Wilder and Crawford/Spence. I just wonder why they won't do business with Matchroom?

He’s the boogeyman I can see it from all the chasing he goes through and fighters ducking to get away from him it’s a lot of wear and tear on a 50 year olds body .

        • "The winner of the eventual IBF final eliminator will become the sanctioning body’s mandatory challenger to Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13KOs), who also holds the WBA “Super”/WBO/IBO belts."

The article failed to mention that Joshua is exercising his rematch clause and will likely face Usyk in April.

          • This article is not very good at explaining a few things or I’m missing something. I’m guessing that Hrgovic is trying to rush a title eliminator to fight the Joshua Usyk winner and Ortiz can’t hurry because of his hand. I don’t think his hand has anything to do with it. Mexico is an epicenter for PPV and a Ruiz fight would be big $$. Let’s face it, no one outside of this page knows Hrgovic that well. Ortiz isn’t ****** - he knows he has 2 fights in him max - one is gonna be a cash grab and win over Ruiz followed by a final title shot and final fight

I remember that story as if it was yesterday.
Whyte later said Ortiz was asking for silly money.

To be fair to Luis when that Whyte offer was made,
Ortiz was already a born PBC worshiper. He already accepted
Haymon as his lord saviour. I don't think he'll be able to come out of the cult.
                    He was promised heaven.

The one that gets me is the Wallin fight. They were in talks and then the phone lines went silent. Wallin has fought on several PBC cards so that shouldn't have been a hurdle.
