I don't care if you're 200 yrs old - getting knockdown by a jab from Charles fcccking Martin in the early rds means time to hang it up.

PEDs won't hold him up forever - save the great grandpa from himself.

I wanna se Ortiz -Ruiz. Ruiz also looked like a crap in his last two fights, so this fight is not too dangerous for Ortiz.

But they should prevent Ortiz from fighting Hrgovic for IBF mandatory, sure. Hrgovic murders Ortiz.

It's a weird situation because he won by brutal tko but at the same time he looked SO old up until the stoppage, he's legs are pretty much gone and that heavy jab knockdown doesn't bode well.

They have to be selective with him that's for sure, you don't want to see him eat a flush shot off someone with power.

Its like what do you do with him really?
He's old as **** though I will say he's a bloody beast for his age considering he is 43 in a few months. His legs have gone and he is way past prime on the flip he is still dangerous.
          Big HW that can punch.

I wouldn't favour him currently over anyone in the top 10 and maybe a few outside but I don't think you can rule him out just yet.

Tough one but I really don't want to see him get hurt especially by some opportunist.

Ortiz showed a lot of heart to get off the floor and come back to win via KO.

He's still dangerous but he is starting to decline, maybe Al will decide to feed him to one of his prospects.

I don't like that Ortiz takes this punishment. The fact that Martin knocked him down with a jab is proof he should retire.

He's 42, in great shape, and he just knocked out the IBF #2 in six rounds, earning himself the IBF #2 rating in the process. He's not going to retire.

If I was his promotor I'd try and match him vs another older guy like a Chisora or Arreola in a fight that would make him a little bit of cash and wouldn't be as risky as a young guy.
