The positive taints him a little but I think when his career is over he will be the 3rd or 4th best all around boxer post The 4 kings era behind Floyd and Roy, possibly ahead of Manny because I don’t think he will have as many losses.

I do think he will win FOTD for this decade and is surely a 1st ballot HOFer. I think the era post Floyd will be considered the Canelo era.

Canelo rarely just runs over fighters unless they are complete bums like Fielding. Manny used to run over elite fighters and Floyd dominated them. If you want to see fighters getting genuinely broken down, watch a Benavidez fight.

Canelo nowhere neat ATG level, and the fact he is still cherry picking and ducking suggests even he and his manager know it. He is a 7.5/10 fighter imo.
Sorry I mistake I forgot Saunders was competitive in the later rds. For some reason, the Plant and Saunders bouts blend together in my mind.

But regardless, a KO win against solid guys. Not great, but solid, skillful guys who were undefeated at the time.

Look man. Bottom line, the guys still 31. He’s in his prime now. Let’s save the ATG talk until he’s either retired or nearing retirement. A lot can happen from now until then. Save the comparisons to Floyd or Manny for later. It’s hard for me to talk about ATG status when I guy is still young and in his prime years. He’s still got work to do. I think he’s a HOF right now. And no. He’s no where near the level of Floyd or Manny. They’ve had tougher tests. So far, I’d say Canelos on his way to ATG status, but he still has guys at the 160 lbs and Benavitez.

So Spence and Porter and you’re an ATG? Gtfo lol

That puts him in as 1st ballot HOF dude.

Kovalev and Makabu will enhance Canelo’s legacy. Especially in the future.
Porter is a fighter who has proven time and the again he belongs there with the elites in the division and he can give them hell each time. Canelo has never beaten anyone like this.

Nel o has had a good career so far. Just needs to fight in a few people's backyards then he will have ticked !more off bucket list unlike some like ottke and other cautious fighters wanting to be true greats by boasting about unbeateǹ records but still not convincing people.Even if ottke had great names on his resume, his home advantage wouldn't impress people

A lot of ppl, except you and your bogus boxing historians of course, have Manny ahead of Floyd and Roy despite the losses. There's guys far ahead of all of those guys with more losses. All Canelo gotta do is keep beating the best guys in their prime until his time is up, stay away from cherrypicking Youtubers and Japanese kickboxers, and he'll lap Floyd easy, and surpass all involved.

Guy is a myth in my eyes, lost clearly to golovkin after ducking him for years, fights him, clearly loses. gets a gift draw, boo'd by his own fans. pretends he won. Takes PEDs for the rematch, loses again (albeit in a very close fight) and then yo yo's between divisions cherrypicking guys who are the weakest beltholders:

Jacobs is a good win. ( i didnt bother watching the fight, apparently it was close?)
Kovalev on short notice, who just went life and death with anthony yarde.....6 weeks prior?
BJS - who had done absolutely nothing since getting popped for PEDS after his career best win in David lemule 4 years prior.
Callum Smith - who just lost to a blown up MW in John Ryder in an awful robbery decision.

Sorry, thats not impressive to me. mateys career is a mirage, full of PEDS, corruption, rigged decisions & cherrypicking guys who look like **** in the fight(s) prior.

Its called the path of least resistance.

Yeh true, but I don't want to keep using that unbeaten fighters name and give him too much airtime and that's why I'll use ottke as example. Even if ottke had great names on resume, the not fighting outside backyard, with ref protection and bought judges, and no rematches in opponents backyards would hurt ottke.
