Physical attributes, probably. But what about heart. I don't see that in AJ anymore.

That’s what one of the things I love about the sweet science. Those PHYSICAL attributes didn’t help him a bit in the first fight and they won’t in the second. It’s too late to rebuild from the ground up. Usyk is all wrong for him. AJ will always be reacting, and trying to adjust. Usyk owns his soul.

Joshua will never ever outbox Usyk. There is a glimmer of hope for him from the first fight, in that he hurt Usyk to the body briefly.

He'd have to go to the body early. Usyk is favoured to win though, rightly so. It's a long way away, so AJ better work on those flaws of his.

He has a height, weight and power advantage but it didnt look to be nearly enough in the first fight to compensate for the gap in skill, speed, mobility, gas tank and durability. I'm not sure what his route to victory is gonna be here, he cant outbox Usyk and being more aggressive is easier said than done when you havent got great cardio and the other guy has already shown he can hurt you.

Ironically, AJ lacks the two things that made Froch’s career - an iron chin and an iron will.

Hear me out, if there are two athletes aspiring to step into a boxing ring. And out of those two individuals, one of them is more apprehensive and afraid 'But still steps into the ring to fight'.

Which one of those people is showing more courage? Joshua is not running away from challenges, he is not running away from Usyk. So surely this says something about his heart etc

I don't think Anthony Joshua lacks heart, but he maybe needs to manipulate and utilize his apprehension and fear more. As since the Ruiz Junior loss, his apprehensions and fears are inhibiting his performances and his approach to the sport.

I have said it many times before, that Joshua is training in a repressed state. He is holding himself back, and not training the way innately he wants to train 'How he has always trained'.

Instead he has been focusing on being all technical, and obsessing over being all super light. Once he gets back to training like he used to train, and approaching the sport with the same philosophy 'This will give him the best chance of beating Usyk'.

People are ****ing on as if Usyk is formidable, he was pushed by Derek Chisora 'If people are honest with themselves, Chisora only lost that fight due to fatiguing'. It is the same with most of his fights of late, not many heavyweights can cope with his pressure 'But they know soon enough, he will fade and his attacks will become more and more predictable' And that's when the technical boxers with durability begin to just take rounds off Chisora 'And by the way, Chisora is not at his peak no matter what people say'.

I am not sure what the long term Future holds or Joshua, but I do believe he will win his rematch vs Uysk via stoppage. From history, we know that Joshua is not going to fight the same kind of fight twice etc

Note: Joshua is clearly still dealing with the trauma of the Ruiz Junior loss. I am not exactly sure why it has effected him so badly, but it did. Because fighters have suffered worst loses 'Dillian Whyte's loss to Povetkin was more horrific, but Whyte extremely impressively bounced back real quick'. Not many people give Whyte credit, for immediately pursuing that fight 'That was a incredible feat of competitiveness'.

I do hope I am wrong, but I dont think AJ should take this fight...I wouldnt rule out AJ winning, but I do think he gets stopped this time.

You might say Carl, that he’s ‘too big too strong’ for him.

No doubt Joshua has the physical tools to beat Usyk but does he have the heart, skill or mental toughness to win the rematch? Unless he fights more aggressively & leans on Usyk I don’t see anything changing in the rematch. I think the problem is between his ears. How much does he really want it? He is set for life so motivation could be an issue.
