But if he chooses to go to 175 a fight with Smith as a tuneup is not a bad fight for a comeback in May
No way Canelo fights a journeyman like Dirrel on Cinco de Mayo, especially if he’s only fighting twice in 2022.

You don’t think so? I mean he already has all the hype behind him right now and I feel like his team won’t want him to fight someone that might derail the fight with Benavidez. At this point for a tuneup fight I’m sure people aka casuals they’ll still end up buying that crap fight on Cinco for his comeback. Don’t get me wrong I rather Alvarez fights someone else but who else has some sort of value at 168?

I know. But Canelo can put two divisions on hold with his steroids fantasies.

I prefer a fight between Smith and Yarde. That’s just me.

Yes, I'm actually going to that fight on Jan 15th. It's 15 mins from my house where the fight is taking place at the casino I used to work at.

Let's put this in perspective. Thomas Hearns could spark guys under 160 with one punch but fighters above 160 could absorb his power. You have a 5.7, flat-footed fighter who can't stop Angulo and Chavez Jr but he can take on the bigger men all of a sudden. This has to be the most fraudulent generation of boxing ever. What's next, people are going to try and put this clown in the same sentence with Ali>
So you think Canelo is undefeated?

You **** on rehydration clauses, surely you won’t rate a catchweight fight, his one loss against May had a you guessed it….catchweight clause! Catchweight clauses are even worse.

You can’t knock everyone out, and just because you knock out one guy, doesn’t mean you automatically knock out another.

                    Are you new to boxing?

I'm as big a Canelo critic as there is, but he doesn't need Beterbiev for his legacy, people hate on the guy but look, Beterbiev is a very different animal, he's a lot more skilled than guys give him credit for, I'd even say he's more skilled than BJS, Plant, and Saunders, the difference is that he's much bigger, hits like a mule, cuts off the ring brilliantly, and is very heavy handed. Plus he'd have a huge size advantage over Canelo. That's a lot to ask for for Canelo and doesn't need Beterbiev for his legacy but more power to him if he actually takes that fight. I'd have no problems with him gong back down to 168 though for the other good fights. As for me I never understood why GGG was so high on the p4p list but Artur Beterbiev is not, Gvozdyk win was much better than anything GGG ever did.
He also pretty big for 175. Look at him when he's fighting other guys he makes them look small
