Lmao wow that sounds kinda personal. I think you may need to see someone concerning your celebrity worship problem you have there. Seriously, someone shouldn’t get that emotional over someone they’ve never met.

wow….you’ve got some problems man. Get help

This is 200 lbs not 147 where Canelo began and it’s like night and day. If this were so easy as people seem to believe than why hasn’t every boxer across all weight classes make that jump? Forget the fact that Canelo is also a dwarf in that division, his reach is 6inches + less than every fighter that would be in that division and he’s probably shorter by 6+ inches as well.

you folks need to truly get a grip.
I see you’re overly impressed by the weight class thing, even if the fighter sucks. Nevertheless, you’ve deviated from my point which was the hypocrisy of Canelo fans saying these other more accomplished guys need to earn the Canelo fight yet canelo can pick this absolute nobody and they/you celebrate it as chasing greatness.

He is a champion within the 200lb division. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it no less of an achievement. If these other fighters are “more accomplished” why are they not moving to 200 lbs? Why are they not fighting each other defining their own legacies? It seems to me they are hanging off another fighter’s jock strap hoping to be picked. It reminds me of elementary kickball teams. “Oh pick me pick me pick me!”

You can use the chasing titles argument all you want but if he’s doing that and not facing better quality opposition, I don’t care to see it. Should we be raving about Broner and his 4 titles in 4 weight classes or should we be more impressed with say someone like Spence who in 1 weight class faced Brook, Porter, Danny Garcia and is about to face Ugas (although he really should face Crawford). Canelo left mw with good fights still on the table, he went to 175 and left quickly with 2 quality champions on the table, he went through the guys at 168 but left the most dangerous one on the table who never really lost his title that canelo walks around with now. I will say that Benavidez screwed himself by missing weight, but I don’t recall canelo being stripped when he couldn’t make 154 and asked for a last min catchweight of 155 on more than one occasion, and I don’t recall him facing any significant penalty from the wbc for failing a vada test. He was actually given a title shot immediately after.
Look you make good points about the quality of opponent and all that. Im not dis*****g that. And I've said that I'd much rather see the Benavidez fight. But the fact remains he has nothing Canelo wants and Makabu does. And its his prerogative to decide. It's our prerogative to decide wether we want to watch it or not. That's all I'm saying.

I never said they shouldn’t be fighting each other, but the “they need to earn it” argument is out the window when Canelo picks a less deserving fighter. I don’t wanna hear about how Makabu is a “champion” when you don’t know a single person he beat nor did anyone really hear of him before last month. Four fights ago he fought a guy that was 9-28-4 and right before that he fought a guy that was 10-23-3. This is a legit “champion” and someone who earned a Canelo fight? Stop it. It is what it is, a belt grab with minimal risk against a bigger guy with limited skills and experience.

You make good points also. It's just unfortunate that we don't always get the fights we want.

                      Looks desperate AF.
I don’t see anything that Benavidez brings that Canelo hasn’t seen before. He’s just taller but doesn’t have the power necessary to bother Canelo. He’d be wide open for counters to the body and uppercuts on the inside all night. Canelo folds his ass easily.
He’s just the next guy the haters build up as they are desperate to see a Canelo loss.
That may very well be the case, but we can never know if they don't fight! Serious question: as a Canelo fan, don't you want to see him challenge himself and fight someone who will actually cause him to dig deep if someone actually fights back? Or are you cool with him taking your money for fighting inferior opposition?
