Comments Thread For: Chisora On Critics Calling For His Retirement: Go F--- Yourselves; Don't Watch My Next Fight

Derek Chisora has no plans of throwing in the towel, no matter how many headlines crop up suggesting that he do so. The grizzled British heavyweight recently put up a spirited but ultimately losing effort in a rematch against former champion Joseph Parker at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Parker (30-2, 21 KOs)

Let the man fight, if he doesn't show clear signs of brain damage and passes medical tests.

Yes, the dangers of CTE are horrifically clear, from boxers to mma fighters and NFL players, but it's the risks they take.

At least Chisora will fight anyone. If you ask him to fight a young gun like Anderson, knowing he's kinda set up to be ko'd, he'll take the fight. He has a chance when you think he's done.

Dillian Whyte took about 23 rounds before he could ko Chisora. Parker couldn't knock him out, although Joseph is too tentative as a heavyweight for my liking.

Also, he gave Usyk a tougher fight than Joshua, so let him continue, old school style, a warrior win or lose.

Only Del is taking these heavy punchers so he has the right to say this......But it's my right to hope he doesn't get injured as he is definitely shipping more punishment these days.

Chisora needs to be saved from himself IMO.

I didn't watch the last fight. I mean, I did not even pirate that ****. I'll get around to it, one day, eventually, maybe.

You never know how a brain reacts to the blows. There are fighters like George Chuvalo who took cannon balls on the head throughout his entire career, and did just great until recent years. Larry Holmes seems to have all his faculties intact, and he fought until he was an old man, being destroyed by a young Mike Tyson in the meantime.

Chisora is making millions and says he's living his best life now. He's the kind of guy who, I believe, would be happier dying in a ring rather than getting old and bored at home.

It depends on what kind of fights he wants now. I mean, it's not like he's gonna have that many more blockbuster fights, because we're reaching the point where even though almost everyone who fights him has a tough fight on their hands, it's rare for him to actually beat anyone who's actually good. If he's content to step down a level and fight at the Euro sort of level then sure, he can fight on, but if he fights many more world-level fighters, especially the ones that can punch, it's only gonna be natural for people to be concerned about his health.

He's ******** with his long term health....

He may be perfectly fine long term or he might be brain dead by age 60.
