Canelo and his team may not actually be scared. But they sure as **** don't want this fight. It's a guaranteed second official loss and his 4th real loss. And it will end wirh this Mexican so called hero on the floor. He thinks he's a bad ass because he fought and knocked out the worst at the 168 weight class. Who's the last world class fighter he stopped really? When was it? All this so called power. Wait until he feels that first body shot from Beterbiev. Of wait..beef will be 40 by the time this fight happens if it ever does.Comment

Well of course he's better. Look who he's ****ing fighting. Yildrim? Smith? PLANT? WHO ISNT BETTER?Comment

Canelo has only learnt some lessons from the loss to Mayweather. The first was to always ensure the catch weight is to your advantage. The second is to wait until time is on your side which I completely agree is what he’s doing with Beterbiev. In the same way Ray Leonard saw Hagler slip in the Mugabe fight before he agreed to fight him, Canelo will wait until he sees that happen to a Beterbiev. The thing he’s overlooking is Benavidez. The longer he waits to fight him the bigger chance he’ll loose just like Mayweather knew with Canelo. He should fight him whilst he’s still green but instead he’s avoiding him. Time will catch up on Canelo before he fights Benavidez. He’ll beat an aged Beterbiev probably after taking on both Bivol and Smith first but then he’ll loose to Benavidez as all those fights will put miles on the clock whereas Benavidez will just get better and better.Comment

Biggest misconception I keep seeing is that Beterbiev has little boxing skill and gets hit easily. The guy has an almost 300-5 amateur record ffs, bashed up Usyk, KO'd Kovalev and in the pro ranks beat down The Nail Gvodyk, who had world class boxing skills. Gvodyk is 6'2 and massively longer in reach than Canelo, yet he only managed to clearly tag Beterbiev a few times in 10 rounds.Comment

This would be a really tough fight for Canelo. Slick head movement and counterpunching won't work against a big, powerful guy who steams in like a freight train, throws vicious volleys of punches while standing right on top of you, and seems to get stronger and stronger as the fight goes on. Canelo would have to work hard every second of every round to stay in the fight and I don't think he's capable of doing that against a naturally bigger, stronger man.Comment
